<p class="Paragraph">If you wish to send a fax directly from OpenOffice.org, you need a fax modem and a fax driver that allows applications to speak to the fax modem like a printer.</p>
<p class="Head3">Send a fax through a dialog as follows</p>
<p class="Paragraph">Print the current document with the fax machine as a printer:</p>

<p class="P2">Call up the <span class="T1">Print</span> dialog through the <span class="T1">File - Print</span> menu command and select the fax driver in the <span class="T1">Name</span> combo box.</p>

<p class="P2">Clicking on <span class="T1">OK</span> will open the dialog of your fax driver where you can enter the fax recipient.</p>

<p class="Head3">Configure OpenOffice.org for faxing through the icon as follows</p>
<p class="Paragraph">You can configure faxing from OpenOffice.org in such a way that a single click on one icon is sufficient to send a fax:</p>
<p class="P3">Select the <span class="T1">Fax</span> combo box of your fax driver and close the dialog by clicking on OK.</p>

<p class="P3">Open the context menu in the function toolbar and click on <span class="T1">Visible Buttons</span>.</p>
<p class="P3">You see a list of immediately configurable buttons for this icon toolbar. All buttons that are currently visible have a mark.</p>

<p class="P3">Select by clicking the <span class="T1">Send Standard Fax</span> button in the context menu.</p>
<p class="P3">The button is now visible in the function toolbar. By clicking on it the fax driver entered in step 2 is activated to send the current document.</p>
