<p class="Paragraph">You can add all unknown words in a text document to the active user dictionary with a single command. However, you yourself first have to assign the command to shortcut keys or to a separate icon.</p>

<p class="P2">Open a text document.</p>

<p class="P2">Choose the <span class="T1">Tools - AutoFit...</span> command. The <span class="T1">AutoFit</span> dialog appears.</p>

<p class="P2">Select the <span class="T1">Keyboard</span> tab to specify a key combination. Select the <span class="T1">Toolbars</span> tab to specify an icon for this function.</p>

<p class="P2">Select the <span class="T1">Tools</span> area at the lower left of the <span class="T1">Keyboard</span> tab, and then select the <span class="T1">Adding unknown words</span> function next to it.</p>

<p class="P2">Search for an available key combination in the <span class="T1">Keyboard</span> list box (e.g. F10).</p>

<p class="P2">Double-click the entry and close the dialog with <span class="T1">OK</span>.</p>

<p class="Paragraph">You can now use the selected key or key combination to perform a spellcheck in the active text document and to automatically add all unknown words to the <help:link Id="65883" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">activated user-defined dictionary</help:link>.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">To include the unknown words in a dictionary, you must fulfill the following conditions:</p>

<p class="P3">The dictionary should be activated.</p>

<p class="P3">This dictionary cannot be a "negative dictionary".</p>
</li>

<p class="P3">The language of the dictionary has to be set up on "All".</p>

<p class="P3">The dictionary file canot be a read-only file.</p>
