<p class="Paragraph">The <span class="T1">Extended Tips</span> function shows you not only the function name but also a brief description of the function, when you allow the cursor to pause over a button, another control or an icon.</p>
<p class="Head3">To turn Extended Tips on and off permanently:</p>

<p class="P2">On the menu bar of the application, click on <span class="T1">Help</span> and select <span class="T1">Extended Tips</span>.</p>
<p class="P2">A tick against the menu item indicates that the <span class="T1">Extended Tips</span> function is enabled.</p>

<p class="Head3">To turn Extended Tips on temporarily:</p>

<p class="P3">Press the shortcut keys (Shift)(F1) to enable <span class="T1">Extended Tips</span> once.</p>
<p class="P3">A question mark appears beside the mouse pointer. You can move this <span class="T1">Help Mouse Pointer</span> over all controls, icons and menu items to obtain a short description of the command in question. The <span class="T1">Help Mouse Pointer</span> is disabled the next time you click the mouse.</p>
