<p class="Paragraph">You can drag colors from the color bar directly to draw objects. Allow the color to fall beyond the area or the border, in order change the fill or line color.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:switch select="Program" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><help:case select="DRAW">If the cursor is positioned within a text frame, select a new color for the text from the Color bar.</help:case></help:switch></p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:switch select="Program" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><help:case select="IMPRESS">When you are in a text field and you find yourself in a text frame you can assign a new color in a marked text through clicking in a color in the color bar.</help:case></help:switch></p>
<p class="Paragraph">The Color bar <help:popup Id="65619" Eid="andocken" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">floating window</help:popup> can be left open while you edit a document.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">You can toggle the color bar by <help:switch select="System" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><help:case select="MAC">(Command)</help:case><help:default>(Ctrl)</help:default></help:switch>-Double clicking in a gray area of the bar, between a docked toolbar and a free window. If the color bar is a free window, then the width and height of it can be changed.</p>

<p class="Paragraph">In order to change the colors shown, use <span class="T1">Format - Area</span> - Tab <help:link Id="66226" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"><span class="T1">Colors</span></help:link>. There you can load another color palette or create your own color pallets and store these as files.</p>
