- FIXES AND CHANGES IN VERSION 1.0.50 (First release
- ====================================
-

-
- ====================================
- FIXES AND CHANGES IN VERSION 1.0.37 (Beta Release)
- ====================================
- Many thanks to our beta testers. Your feedback is valuable to us! We have
- fixed many things, and there are some more to go... Among the fixes in the
- current beta release 1.0.37:
-
- 1) Some beta testers complained of the main window being too large. The main
- window is now sized smaller by default; also you can have it come up maximized,
- and the window remembers its maximized, normal, or minimized state on startup.
- (One user got a 380 run time error (because of bad screen coordinates).
- This situation is now handled gracefully.)
-
- 2) Some users were unable to map sites correctly because links on a
- frame page were hidden to BP by a <NOFRAMES> tag; These links are now picked up.
-
- 3) BP now also picks up links that are embedded in JavaScript scripts.
-
- 4) You can now Cancel a Site Report.
-
- 5) Some instabilities in the tree directory have been corrected.
-
- 6) Blueprint now shows graphics files and directories in the directory tree
-
- 7) We reinstated the dynamically updated screen during the www mapping phase.
-
-
- ===========================
- Version 1.0.36 (July 3, 98)
- ===========================
-
- AMONG THE CHANGES AND FIXES:
-
- 1) Mapping a site from a local disk:
- BP failed to map siteS on a local disk or network due to path/file
- error that crept in. Many beta testers reported an error message like:
- "Error 5 - Object variable or With block variable not set 91"
- This should now be fixed.
-
- 2) Install Error:
- A few users got the following messages:
- "required DLL is missing DLL file MSVCIRT.DLL not found.
- split32.ocx not registered file missing "
- In some cases their copy of Netscape 3.0 failed to run after this failed
- install.
-
- The Microsoft runtime dll MSVCIRT.DLL is now included in the BP install, in
- case the user's system does not have the most current version. The latest
- MS DLLs are also downloadable from the Blueprint FAQ page.
- (This restored the functioning of Netscape 3.0.)
-
- 3) Spurious VIS_DISK_FULL error:
- Sometimes Blueprint would fail to create mapping files correctly and
- return error messages like the following --
- "Attempt to create file, <file name> failed with return code VIS_DISK_FULL,
- And then a whole series of "VIS_DOS_ERROR"
- This has been addressed.
-
- 4) Map Display is now delayed until the site has been mapped to the desired
- number of levels. (We have done this because we suspect some user errors
- result from examining the display while the mapping engine is still active.
- When the product is proved to be stable we will re-enable the dynamic map display).
-
- 5) A few users reported the following error during the mapping phase:
- Run Time Error R6025 Pure virtual function call or
- Run time virtual C++ error
- We believe this is now fixed. In any case, this error is generated within libraries
- and system dll's that Blueprint uses, under certain rare conditions. If the
- error should occur, just click
- OK on the message; it will not cause BP to terminate and it does not seem to adversely
- affect its function.
