  5. Pentium 90 with at least 24 megabyte RAM with 
  6. Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0.

  9. VAC changes from version 1.02:
  10. ------------------------------
  11. * Visual Applet Configurator is now distributed only in one version and it is
  12. freeware. 
  13.  
  14. * Visual Applet Configurator now have the ability to support other
  15. developers applets. The support can be added by adding a VAC script
  16. file for each applet and a plugin definition file. More information
  17. about this can be found in the VAC script handbook.
  18.  
  19. * A new file format called VAC is now introduced. This is Demicron's
  20. new copy protection system. They now include all the applets parameters.
  21. VAC will automatically handle these files. These VAC files can and 
  22. may only be read by the applets and Visual Applet Configurator. The
  23. old hostname and filename copy protection system is still supported
  24. in the commercial applets but it is not required. To convert your old
  25. project files with VAC just open the HTML file and enter each applet's
  26. configuration dialog and a VAC file will be created for each dialog.

  28. * A dialog displaying the necessary files to run the applets in the
  29. current HTML file has been added.

  31. * A Tree Field type has been added so VAC now support tree structures
  32. and the upcoming tree menus from MenuMaster.

  34. * Cut, Copy and Paste options have been added to the program menu.

  36. * The font selections can now input other fonts than the system fonts.

  38. * The bug that caused VAC to crash when writing foreign characters
  39. is fixed.

  41. * The text, file and color lists are now better synchronized with each
  42. other.

  44. * The conflicts with MS Internet Explorer 4.0 are solved since this
  45. new version uses pure Win32 code and is no longer dependent of a
  46. JVM.

  49. Startup problems:
  50. -----------------
  51. If the Visual Applet Configurator splash window hangs
  52. when starting the program then the installation has 
  53. failed and you must do the following:
  54.  
  55. 1. Uninstall all versions of Visual Applet Configurator.
  56. 2. Delete the folder where VAC was installed to.
  57. 3. Restart your computer.
  58. 4. Reinstall this package again.
  59.  
  60. If you are using Windows NT 4.0 and have problem
  61. running the browser, then VAC is having problems 
  62. with the space characters in the path to the browser 
  63. and you must enter the settings dialog and enclose 
  64. the path with quote characters (").
