  2. You are free to try out this evaluation version of Virtual Access for 45 
  3. different days after which point you must either register it with us or stop 
  4. using it as detailed in the license agreement.

  7. easily do so electronically. On receipt we will send you back special branding 
  8. key which will unlock it and turn it from an evaluation into the full 
  9. version, along with disks.

  56. #The Virtual Access Product Range
  57. The version of Virtual Access that is best suited to you is dependent on 
  58. how you want to use Virtual Access.  There are two major versions of
  59. Virtual Access

  61. There is the single user version of Virtual Access and there is a multi
  62. user version of Virtual Access.  
  63.  
  64. The single user version of VIrtual Access is available in 16 and 32 bit
  65. versions.  Ideally for running on a stand alone PC.  See the next page

  68. The multiuser version of Virtual Access is for groups of users who wish 
  69. to share mail, news, forums, local conferencing and email.

  76. #Virtual Access - Single User
  77. Virtual Access is quite simply the best Offline Reader
  78. that you can get for Compuserve, CIX and the Internet
  79.  
  80. VA allows you to send and sort E-mail; download Newsgroups and 
  81. CompuServe Forums that are of interest as well as transfer files 
  82. automatically.

  85. checker, full communications modules, signatures, E-mail (SMTP and 
  86. POP3), Newsgroups (complete with Get and Kill file strategies), file transfers

  95. #Virtual Access - Multi User
  96. There is a multi user, LAN version of Virtual Access available. This product 
  97. allows a group of people on your PC network to share a communications 
  98. connection to CompuServe and the Internet.
  99.  
  100. What happens is that one machine on the network is designated a 
  101. MessageBase 'server' machine. This machine collects and sends all the 
  102. messages to the outside world, and each user on the network collects his or 
  103. her messages from it. The key of being able to share this MessageBase is 
  104. that each user has his own view of which messages have been read and not 
  105. read. In the case of Internet E-mail each user of Virtual Access Business
  106. has a unique and personal E-mail address, even though there is only one 
  107. modem/ISDN connection for the whole group.
  108.  
  109. One other key feature of the multiuser is the 'scheduler'. This is a facility which 
  110. automates the connection process. This scheduler is both event and time 
  111. based. An example of an event based scheduling is to perform a connection 
  112. whenever there is an E-mail in the outgoing queue. An example of time 
  113. based scheduling it to connect, say, every 3 hours.

  115. Having read this you will be glad to know that the multi-user version 
  116. has all the functionality of Personal as well as the ability to set 
  117. up internal E-mail and Newsgroup areas.
