- The version of Virtual Access that is best suited to you is dependent on
- how you want to use Virtual Access. There are two major versions of
- Virtual Access

- There is the single user version of Virtual Access and there is a multi
- user version of Virtual Access.

- The single user version of VIrtual Access is available in 16 and 32 bit
- versions. Ideally for running on a stand alone PC. See the next page
- for more detailed information on the single user version.

- The multiuser version of Virtual Access is for groups of users who wish
- to share mail, news, forums, local conferencing and email.

- Virtual Access is quite simply the best Offline Reader

- #Virtual Access - Multi User
- There is a multi user, LAN version of Virtual Access available. This product
- allows a group of people on your PC network to share a communications
- connection to CompuServe and the Internet.

- What happens is that one machine on the network is designated a
- MessageBase 'server' machine. This machine collects and sends all the
- messages to the outside world, and each user on the network collects his or
- her messages from it. The key of being able to share this MessageBase is
- that each user has his own view of which messages have been read and not
- read. In the case of Internet E-mail each user of Virtual Access Business
- has a unique and personal E-mail address, even though there is only one
- modem/ISDN connection for the whole group.

- One other key feature of the multiuser is the 'scheduler'. This is a facility which
- automates the connection process. This scheduler is both event and time
- based. An example of an event based scheduling is to perform a connection
- whenever there is an E-mail in the outgoing queue. An example of time
- based scheduling it to connect, say, every 3 hours.

- has all the functionality of Personal as well as the ability to set
- up internal E-mail and Newsgroup areas.
