  8. Welcome to LogiCat!  LogiCat was designed to allow you to easily catalog
  9. your disks.  LogiCat is the first step in bringing you a set of disk
  10. tracking utilities that go beyond anything published to date.  I'm sure
  11. you'll enjoy the power that LogiCat brings you; finally an advance in
  12. disk cataloging technology is available!

  15. [-------- CHANGES IN THE DOCUMENTATION --------]
  16.  
  17. Since LogiCat was introduced there have been several changes in LogiCat
  18. that aren't yet included in the documentation.  The following summarizes
  19. additions to the manual:
  20.  
  21. 1)  On the Add menu and the Delete/replace menu a new item has been added
  22.     that provides "multi-drive" support.  By choosing the multi-drive item
  23.     you're allowed to log/replace files from any number of different drives
  24.     in any order you specify.  The disadvantage to logging files in this
  25.     manner is that you must type the drive letter and press return for 
  26.     each disk you log/replace.  This feature is mainly useful for Sysops
  27.     who desire to log multiple hard drives.
  28.  
  29.     Note that the other menu options that are documented in the manual
  30.     still work as specified.
  31.  
  32. 2)  A hard disk is REQUIRED, not just recommended as the documentation
  33.     indicates.
  34.  
  35. 3)  When you replace a disk, LogiCat has to keep both disks in memory
  36.     temporarily so it can copy the comments for existing files to the 
  37.     new disk.  If you don't have enough files configured (and LogiCat
  38.     can't automatically increase them), the disk will not be able to 
  39.     be replaced properly.  LogiCat will keep the files that it can, 
  40.     but once it runs out of memory, it will not pick up the rest of 
  41.     the files from the disk.  Note that a warning message is displayed
  42.     if this happens.
