-
- Lotto number handicapping, analyzes the past action of the
- winning numbers. This gives a perspective of what is probable
- (or likely to happen) and what is not probable (or unlikely to
- happen). From extensive studies of lotto games, we have found,
- for example, that six consecutive numbers (such as 28-29-30-31-
- 32-33) are highly unlikely to ever hit - because that has never
- happened before.
- It would also be highly unlikely that all six numbers from any
- previous drawing would hit again - because that has never
- happened before. And it probably never will! According to
- mathematical probability, the six winning numbers of a weekly
- 6/40 lotto drawing would repeat once every 73,815 years!!!
-
- However, in many lotto drawings, more than 120,000 tickets per
- draw are bought with six consecutive numbers, like 1-2-3-4-5-6.
- Yet we know six consecutive numbers have never been drawn.
-
- Pattern betting is a popular method of number selection. There
- are people who select their numbers by position on their
- tickets, marking all the numbers in a row to make a straight
- line, either across or up and down.
-
- Another method that gets heavy play is the number multiples,
- especially 5-10-15-20-25-30. Those numbers are played on at
- least 25,000 tickets in each drawing. If those numbers hit
- should hit (extremely unlikely) with a $3 million jackpot, each
- winner would receive a single payment of $72.
-
-
- 3
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- The majority of lotto players like to play the calendar
- numbers, such as birthdays and anniversaries. This means that the
- most heavily played numbers are 1 through 31, although most lotto
- games have 40 or more numbers. This is a fun way to select
- numbers, but we'd rather have statistics on our side! You can
- always use anniversary numbers as you wish with LottoPro.
- Experiment and enjoy!
-
-
- the trend
-
- Lotto numbers move in trends. A lotto number that is in an up
- trend is winning frequently. A number that is in a down trend
- seldom wins. A lotto number in an up trend can have a series of
- hits - usually skipping only one, two or three games between
- hits. And often a number that is"hot" can have two or three hits
- (wins) in a row.
-
- An example of a lotto number with a "hot" trend is the number 35
- for one state's lottery. 35 had a "hot" streak of 13 games - two
- separate times! A realistic hot streak for a "hot" number would
- be about six hits before skipping more than three games between
- any hit. Most numbers have seven, eight or nine wins before
- taking a rest of four or more games.
-
- Interestingly, about half of the winning numbers drawn have had a
- hit within the previous three draws!
-
- Some lotto numbers are still hot after skipping up to five games
- without a win. About two thirds of all winning numbers drawn have
- had a hit within the previous five games. A few numbers can
- still be in an up trend even after skipping up to ten games since
- the last win. We have seen that about 87 percent of all the
- winning numbers drawn have had a hit within the past ten games.
-
- Be careful with long shot numbers, that haven't hit for 15 or 20
- draws. That long shot number may be overdue after another 10 or
- 20 games. When a lotto number has been inactive for a long time,
- We've found it is best to wait until it has won at least two
- games in rapid succession (that is, WITHOUT skipping more than
- two or three games between the two hits) before you play it.
- This is a clear signal of a trend reversal in most cases. (It is
- also not uncommon for a lotto number to not appear for 25 games
- or more, hit once, and then not appear for another 20 or 30
- games. So, wait for the trend reversal to be confirmed. If a
- number, after a long dormant period, doesn't have a repeat hit
- within two games, don't pursue it.) Wait for a confirming up
- trend.
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- 4
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- The longer a lotto game has been in existence, the stronger are
- the trends and patterns that form. This is because in probability
- theory the sample space of any game of chance is the entire
- number of possibilities that any event can take place. For
- example, if you toss a coin you get either heads or tails. The
- chances of one or the other happening is 50-50, or one in two.
- Its sample space has only two events.
-
-
- Your most important tool in handicapping lotto numbers is a list
- of the past winning numbers. Your local newspaper (as well as
- USA TODAY) gives the winning numbers for your state's lottery the
- day after the drawing. You will wish to update your state's
- winning numbers file with each drawing, but we have found that
- six months is about the total amount of storage you'll want.
- There are several reasons, including lottery commissions tend to
- change the numbered balls, which will change the trends, and we've found from experience that we do best with no more than six
- months' data.
-
- CONSECUTIVE NUMBER PAIRS
-
- Something to watch for are consecutive number pairs which are
- two consecutive numbers that hit together in one game, such as
- 28-29. At least two thirds of all Pick 6 lotto drawings contain
- a consecutive pair. Also on one out of four of those consecutive
- number pair draws, there will be two consecutive number pairs
- drawn or a consecutive pair and a consecutive triad, such as 33-
- 34-35. (Consecutive triads occur in about ten percent of the
- lotto drawings.) Four, five or six consecutive numbers drawn
- are rare (not probable, we have not found an example of fives or
- sixes having ever occurred). You can see that it is your
- advantage to play two consecutive numbers on one game panel - but
- it is to your disadvantage to play four, five or six consecutive
- numbers on one game panel.
-
- Don't let these facts discourage you, we are in this for fun and
- for a better edge! We have witnessed this program do very well,
- indeed.
-
- Keep in mind that the odds in lotteries are extremely high, and
- you can not expect to win every time you play. As it is often
- said, the greater the reward, the higher the risk. Pool your
- money with friends to share the cost - and the winnings, for
- greater coverage. Or you can play a big wheeling system once a
- month and skip the other drawings in between.
-
-
-
-
- You can obtain a hard copy of the screen at any point by
- pressing the "PrtSc" key while holding down the <SHIFT> key.

- The hit chart shows a (| or -) when a number missed a week and
- a (#) when a number hits. This chart is a visual aid and may help
- you spot a trend, that you, or the computer may have missed.
- LottoPro automatically graphs this chart. The performance of
- each number how hot it is comes from this chart. Example In
- Figure 1 the number one has taken 7 draws to come up twice while
- the number two has taken 21 draws to come up twice, thus the
-

- DRAWS SINCE HIT
-
- (Same as weeks, if your lottery draws only once per week.)
- This column shows the number of draws since each number was
- last drawn. A (1) in this column notes that this number was
- drawn on the last drawing.
-
-
- TOTAL # HITS
-
- Record of how many times each number has been drawn, depends on
- how many drawings have been entered into the file.
-
-
- mean
-
- Average number of draws before each number is drawn again.
-
-
- SD or Standard Deviation
-
- The Standard Deviation (SD) is a measure of dispersion The
- larger the (SD) the more variable a number has been between
- draws. If you take the mean and subtract one (SD) and save that
- as number (S1) then take the mean and add one (SD) to make number
- (S2) you Will find that 78% of the time the number of draws
- between hits will fall between (S1) and (S2).
-
-
- # SD'S FROM MEAN
-
- Defines the current status of each number in relation to the
- mean and how many standard deviations the current number of draws
- is away from the mean. Negative numbers define numbers that are
- (SD's) below the mean and positive (SD's) above the mean. see
- Figure 2
-
-
- MEDIAN
-
- The median is the point in the distribution of draws at which
- 50% of the draws fall below and 50% fall above. Example from
- figure 2 then number 6 has a median of 6 and has come up 12 times
- this means that 50% of the time the # 6 has taken more then 6
- draws to hit and 50% of the time it has taken less then 6 draws
- to hit
-
- LO-HI RANGE
-
- Portrays number of weeks each number takes to hit. Example:
- the number 1 in Figure 2 would not be likely to hit again the
- first drawing after it hit, but would be most likely after 9
- draws to hit again.
-
-
-
- 14
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- % IN RANGE
-
- This column relates to the LO-HI RANGE column. Taken together,
- you will see how often each number is drawn again within it's
- range. Example: the number 1 in Figure 2 has hit between draws
- 1 and 9 57% of the time.
-
-
- POINTS IF IN RANGE
-
- Points assigns a value to each number for weighing purposes.
- Example: the number 9 in Figure 2 has not been drawn for 5
- draws, it's range is between 1 - 5 draws, it is drawn 76% between
- 1 and 5 draws after it has hit, it has hit a total 17 times in
- all the records in the file, it usually hits again after 3.9
- draws, it deviates by 2.7 draws (this is a + or - value), it is
- very likely to be drawn soon.
-
-
- A good way to learn how the Statistics Chart works is to run
- one before your lottery draws, then go back and highlight with a
- marker those numbers that were drawn. You may see some very
- interesting correlations AND also
- learn how best to use this chart! It is a very fun process to
- follow. It is extremely helpful, too!
-
-
- <<< Option (G) GENERATE COMPUTER PICKS >>>
-
- When generating computer picks you will be asked a few
- questions, each of these will be covered in this section.
-
-
- PAST performances
-
- (2) LAST TWO PERFORMANCES
- (3) LAST THREE PERFORMANCES
-
- SELECTION (Enter 2 OR 3)
-
- Using the HIT CHART (Figure 1) you will see the differences
- between using the last 2 or 3 times a number has been drawn. By
- counting the number of draws between the last two or three times
- each number takes to come up. Hotter numbers take less draws to
- come up two times or three as you select above.
-
-
- (2) The number of draws since last drawn and the number of draws
- it took to be drawn the time before are added together.
-
- (3) Same as 2 but we go back one more draw. Past performances of
- the last 3 draws of each number may seem to give a clearer
- picture, however, there are other factors to consider. One thing to keep in mind is that if the picks seem to be off or "cold",
-
-
- 15
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- perhaps your state has changed ball sets, etc. If on a cold
- streak you would want to try 2 versus 3 performances or if you've
- been working with the past 2 performances try 3.
-
- The smaller the sum between the last 2 or 3 draws the hotter
- the number or the more likely the number is to continue to be
- drawn frequently.
-
-
- STATISTICS only(S)
- Hot numbers(H)
- BOTH above(B)
- QUIT (Q)
-
- SELECTION (x)
-
-
- ENTRY (S)
-
- This entry uses statistics (refer to Figure 2) in the most left
- column to determine when a number is the hottest with this
- option.
-
-
- ENTRY (H)
-
- Hot numbers are evaluated against each other on their past
- performance. A very hot number would be one that has hit 2 times
- in the past two draws. If you select the last two performances
- any number taking more draws to hit 2 or 3 times will be cooler
- and will be reflected in the next display.
-
-
-
- ENTRY (B)
-
- This combines both (H) and (S) options for a combined score.
-
- After selecting how you want LottoPro to evaluate the numbers,
- you will be shown how each number compares to the other numbers
- on "STACK UP SCREEN #9". An example display (Figure 3) shows
- that 18 is the hottest number (most likely to be drawn) followed
- by 32, the 10th number down from 18 is 23 and the worst number
- (or least likely to be drawn) is 4.

- ENTRY (M) (See Figure 3)
-
- After looking over the STAT CHART and HIT CHART you may decide
- that number 4 is going to hit. Or maybe 37 is a lucky number for
- you, or you have an anniversary number you wish to use. You can
- manipulate
- the use of numbers in final picks at this point. Enter the
- number you wish moved, either higher or lower (toward BEST or
- toward WORST) at "NUMBER TO MOVE".
-
- example:
- NUMBER TO MOVE (0) IF FINISHED (4)
-
- MOVING 4 OLD POSITION=44 (if you entered # 4)
-
- NEW POSITION ? ( Here you can move #4 to # 3 position by
- entering 3, or to whatever position you wish.)
-
- Note: when you have moved numbers around following your hunches,
- insight, lucky number, systems etc. enter 0 and LottoPro will
- sort the display to reflect your desires.
-
- Note: We have found in the past that there are usually
- only 4 of the numbers drawn are in the top 12-15 or so. You may
- want to move 2 or more cold numbers to the top. This we leave
- to your personal choice. You'll find it is easy to use LottoPro
- once you've watched it perform on actual draws.

-
- ENTRY (I) (See Figure 3)
-
- Some times the lottery numbers come up all cold as far as the
- computer is concerned. We call this a backfill draw, where
- numbers that have not hit lately come up. If you can spot a trend
- before the computer spots it, use the (I) option to swap hot for
- cold numbers.
-
-
- ENTRY (R) (See Figure 4)
-
- If you want to go back and use stats to grade the numbers
- instead of hot numbers, use this option.

- System 99 Matrix Master
-
- This option is a wheeling system that you can tailor. You select
- how many of the hottest numbers to use and you will be shown how
- many possible combinations are possible. As an example, one
- lottery has 44 numbers that have 6 draws. If you use 20 numbers
- there are 38,760 possible combinations. Now if you select 100
- combinations Matrix Master Displays/prints every 38,760/100 or
- every 387th combination skipping those between. Thus your chances
- of hitting all 6 are now 1 in 380, hitting 5 of six about 1 in
- 2, and of hitting 4 of six about 1 to 1
-
- Dimitrov's systems: These systems are designed to give you the
- edge in lottery number coverage. they were created to get the
- most efficient coverage of a group of numbers so you get the
- largest possible number of prizes for the dollars wagered. These
- systems give you a 550% improvement of your odds over random
- combinations.
-
- Minimum of win 4 systems
-
- (x) refers to number of hot or top numbers that will be used with the systems below.
-
- SYSTEM (37) TOP 12 NUMBERS 6 COMBINATIONS
- SYSTEM (41) TOP 16 NUMBERS 38 COMBINATIONS
- SYSTEM (33) TOP 14 NUMBERS 40 COMBINATIONS
- SYSTEM (42) TOP 18 NUMBERS 42 COMBINATIONS
- SYSTEM (43) TOP 20 NUMBERS 100 COMBINATIONS
-
- Wheel the top (x) numbers with the above system and if all six
- numbers drawn are in the top (x) then you are assured of least
- one four number win.
-
-
- Minimum of win 5 systems
-
- SYSTEM (55) TOP 11 NUMBERS 26 COMBINATIONS
- SYSTEM (56) TOP 12 NUMBERS 42 COMBINATIONS
-
- With System 55 or 56, if all six numbers drawn are in the top 11
- for 55 or 12 for 56 then you are assured of least one five number
- win.

- SAVING picks
-
- After selecting your system of choice you will be asked if you
- want to save your picks to a disk file. If you answer Y you will
- be shown the file names that are already used that have previous
- picks stored. Think up a new name and enter it. You do not need
- to add the extension .pic, just enter 1 to 8 characters and
- LottoPro will handle the rest.(Note: use DOS to remove files that
- you no longer want. But always have one file with the extension
- your .pic files just save a small file with the extension .pic
- and you are up and running.) Good luck !!!.
