intuitiv'3dDemo Installation Process
Before installing intuitiv'3d, check NEXTSTEP version number : intuitiv'3d runs on NEXTSTEP v3.x for NeXT, Intel and HP PA-RISC.
We strongly advise against running intuitiv'3d on monochrome NeXT Hardware.
Check the space available on your hard disk. intuitiv'3d requires the following disk space : 11.1 Mb to 14.3 Mb (single to triple fat).
You do not need to log in as root to install intuitiv3dDemo.pkg.
1. Double-click on intuitiv3dDemo.pkg.
2. Click on Install in the Installer window.
3. Decide where to install intuitiv'3d on the hard disk.
intuitiv'3d can be installed in the location of your choice. We propose /LocalApps as a convenient installation folder.
4. Close NeXT Installer when the installation process is completed.
intuitiv'3d is now installed in your installation directory.
You will find a Tutorial in the intuitiv3d.app folder. We highly recommend that you read/print the Tutorial.ps file as it gives you hands-on practice in learning the program. It also explains how to configure intuitiv'3d. Use intuitiv'3d on-line Help for reference information.

1 Deleting the intuitiv'3d package
1. Log in under the same login you have used when installing intuitiv3dDemo.pkg..
2. Double-click on intuitiv3d.pkg located in the directory /NextLibrary/Receipts.
3. Click on Delete in NeXT Installer window.
4. A message similar to the following appears :
This action will remove the entire contents of the intuitiv3dDemo package from your system. Are you sure you want to delete intuitiv3dDemo.pkg?
Click on Delete.
5. Close NeXT Installer when the deletion process is completed.
2 Removing intuitiv3d.app
Once the de-installation process is completed, intuitiv3d.app which remain in the installation folder is an empty folder. You can then destroy this empty folder.
1. Select intuitiv3d.app located in the installation folder.
2. Choose Destroy in the file menu of the Workspace manager.
3. Answer Yes in confirmation panel.
Using intuitiv'3d - FAQ
Troubleshooting : The shaders don't work
Problem:
When rendering scenes either with Command-r or the snapshot, many shaders that have been applied to the objects don't seem to work. The surfaces are smooth, just the colors are rendered.
Cause:
When launched for the first time, intuitiv3d.app creates links from the shaders located in the intuitiv3d.app folder to the user's /Library/shaders directory. If you remove a previous version of intuitiv'3d by destroying the intuitiv3d.app folder, empty symbolic links remain in /Library/shaders. When launching the new version of intuitiv'3d the links from the new version cannot be installed in /Library/shaders as links are still present at this location.
Solution:
In your /Library/shaders directory, please remove all empty links remaining from the previous intuitiv3d.app installation, then relaunch the new intuitiv3d.app application.
