This is the README file for the CHaRTSMITH 1.2 Demo Package
Installation Instructions
The CHaRTSMITH Demo application is packaged as a single tar'd and gzip'd file, Chartsmith_1.2.tar.gz. The CHaRTSMITH API is similarly tar'd and gzip'd into ChartsmithAPI_1.2.tar.gz file, as are supplemental files into ChartsmithFiles_1.2.tar.gz. Unzipping and untarring each of these creates a folder containing a package (.pkg) file and a README file pertaining to the contents of the package file.
To install each package (.pkg) file, double-click on its icon in the Workspace Manager. This will launch the Installer application, if necessary, and open the package. Click the Install button. Choose the location where you want the contents installed. Then click the install button.
CHaRTSMITH is packaged here as an unlicensed demo version. All of the output functions and the API are disabled. The output functions include: copying charts, dragging chart images to other applications, saving charts as images, and printing. The CHaRTSMITH API will not be enabled, though sample API client applications are provided which enable the API for the sample application only. Saving of CHaRTSMITH documents is enabled for demos. To enable all of the functions of CHaRTSMITH, contact BLaCKSMITH for licensing information.
This version of CHaRTSMITH does not include the on-line Help. These files have been removed to reduce the size of the package.
