  15. 10 AUGUST, 1995 ~~ Bellevue, WA ~~ Paradigm Systems Corporation is
  16. pleased to announce release 1.0 of its IndentPro(tm) System for NeXT,
  17. a three component system to provide an easy and flexible development
  18. environment for producing consistent-looking code, similar to that
  19. produced by the UNIX version of indent.
  20.  
  21. Component one of the system features a robust Preferences.app bundle
  22. to allow developers to easily customize the look and feel of their
  23. code.
  24.  
  25. The IndentPro preferences bundle allows reading and writing of profile
  26. files, as well as the ability to dynamically view sample or user
  27. defined code.
  28.  
  29. The other two components of the system are key to facilitating the code
  30. standardization process.
  31.  
  32. IndentPro provides some significant advantages over the UNIX version
  33. of indent.  Some of those are:
  34.  
  35.         - Preserving and properly indenting Objective-C
  36.             style comments.
  37.         - Preserving private interface declaration indentations.
  38.         - Preserving functionality associated with the '@'
  39.             operator.
  40.         - Preserving return statement functionality when
  41.             evaluating expressions as your return values.
  42.         
  43. IndentPro registers its services via the standard NEXTSTEP Services menu.
  44. IndentPro allows any applications which let the user select and edit ASCII
  45. text to standardize selected code via Services.

  47. The second is indentPro, a command line executable which replaces all uses
  48. of the UNIX version of indent.  This allows command-line tasks, such as
  49. code repository check-in and check-out, to use indentPro.

  52. The IndentPro system is available for NeXT, Intel, Sun, and HP systems
  53. running NEXTSTEP 3.1 or greater.

  55. A fully functional demonstration version, including PostScript user's
  56. guide, is available beginning August 16, 1995 at:
