- 'djf' is a filter-program which allows you to use a Deskjet printer with
- a NeXT. All Postscript is rendered by the Display-Postscript and the
- resulting bitmap is sent to the printer.
-
- This djf differs from the recent Deskjet-drivers as:
-
- - there is full DIN A4 support
-
- - Compression mode 3 is used (only usable on Deskjet 500)
-
- - different halftone-directories according to different
- resolutions (75,100,150,300 DPI).
-
-
- It should be useful for all printers which support Compression modes 0-3 (only
- Deskjet 500 was tested), i.e.:
- LaserJet III, IIIP
- Deskjet 500 (Deskjet 500 C?)
- PaintJet XL (black&white mode)
-
- Refer to the File README.rtf for installation procedures.
