  1. Don't run FontSearch as ROOT.

  5. Everything works just as it should but...
  6. FontSearch tries to addjust paths to refer to the users home path.
  7. This will make:
  8.                 ~NextLibrary/Fonts
  9. out of:         /NextLibrary/Fonts
  10.  
  11. This is just fine for every app....exept the loginwindow !!!

  13. After you log out you will not be able to log in again ! The loginwindow will fail to find its fonts.

  15. Fixing is simple: Just remove the roots "GLOBAL NXFontsPaths" value out of the database. (either boot in single user or rlogin form somewhere else)

  17. Sorry is this caused you trouble but this is a strange behvior of NeXTSTEP. I can't understand why the app uses roots defaults but does not know about root home path ?????
