  5. Installation of the REGISTERED version of Unreal(tm) 
  6. by Epic Megagames inc(tm) is REQUIRED for use of 
  7. Unreality(tm).

  16. How to Install Unreality(TM)
  17. ====================================
  18. Unreality Installation:
  19.  
  20. This CD-ROM is configured to autorun the setup program.
  21. If, after inserting the CD-ROM, the CD does not automatically
  22. run the setup program:
  23.  
  24. 1. Click on START
  25. 2. Click on RUN
  26. 3. In the RUN dialog box, type:  D:\SETUP (where D is the drive letter of 
  27.    your CD-ROM drive) then Click on OK.
  28.  
  29.    Example: If CD-ROM is Drive E type: E:\SETUP  (Click on OK.)

  32. The Setup program will now begin.  Follow the prompts accordingly.
  33.  
  34.   If you installed your UNREAL(tm) product to the default path
  35.   C:\UNREAL the Unreality installation will automatically locate 
  36.   your UNREAL(tm) installation path and continue.
  37.  
  38.   - Note: If you have moved your UNREAL(tm) program from its
  39.           original installation path, you should either put it back
  40.           or use the manually installation.

  43.   - Installation requires approx. 70MB free harddisc space.
  44.  
  45. The following screen asks which START menu group to install.
  46. Accept the default "Unreality" unless you want the shortcut installed
  47. to a different location.
  48.  
  49. After installing the maps, you should now have a new grouping on your
  50. START/PROGRAMS menu called "Unreality."  This grouping contains icons
  51. which bring up this readme fil and the links.html. The links.html starts your
  52. browser and give you a menu for the internet links provided on this cd-rom.  
  53. IMPORTENT: To use the internet links provided on this cd-rom you need to have
  54. a browser installed on your computer.
  55. ============================================================================
  56. NOTE: In case the installation program has difficulty in copying the levels
  57. to your machine, you can manually copy them over from the \MAPS directory
  58. on the Unreality CD.
  59.  
  60. Example:  You've installed UNREAL(tm) to your D:\ and your CDROM drive
  61. is E:\.  Click on START/PROGRAMS, select WINDOWS EXPLORER.  Scroll down the
  62. left window to find your E:\ drive icon.  Double-click the icon and then
  63. double-click the \MAPS folder. Double click on the folder you would like.  
  64. On the Menu Bar (top of the screen) select EDIT, and click on SELECT ALL
  65. (all the levels should highlight.)  Again select EDIT, and click on COPY.  
  66. Now scroll up the left window to find your D:\ icon and double-click it.  
  67. Then find your \Unreal folder and double-click. Then single click on the 
  68. \MAPS folder (so that the folder highlights.) Select EDIT and click on PASTE.  
  69. The levels should then copy to your \Unreal\Maps folder.  Do the same with 
  70. the other folders and you will have all Unreality levels installed.

  73.  HOW TO PLAY UNREALITY

  76. After Installation of Unreality, you are ready to play!
  77. You DO NOT NEED your Unreality CD in the CD-ROM Drive.

  79. 1.  Insert your UNREAL(tm) CD-ROM.
  80.  
  81. 2. Start your UNREAL(tm) program.
  82. (Click on START / PROGRAMS / UNREAL then click on the UNREAL icon.)
  83.  
  84. 3. Select BOTMATCH.
  85.  
  86. - Choose between: DarkMatch, DeathMatchGame, TeamGame, CoopGame and KingOfTheHill.

  88. - Select the map / dm you want to play.

  90. You can also start a game from your windows explorer by double clicking on the map
  91. you want to play.
