  9. Introduction:

  11. Trichi is a unique strategy board game.  First developed in 1976, Trichi
  12. challenges The game player who also typically enjoys Chess, Checkers, Go 
  13. or Othello to think in geometric shapes and maintain multiple strategies 
  14. of both offense and defense.  Trichi is a three player game for ages 14 
  15. to adult.  It is suggested that if you are new to Trichi, try reviewing 
  16. the Tutorial section of the Help file.

  18. System Requirements:

  20. Trichi will run on a 486/66mhz PC with Windows 3.1, at least 2mb of RAM, 
  21. 4mb of hard disk space available, SVGA with 256 colors.
  22.  
  23. The recommended configuration for Trichi is a Pentium/75mhz or better, 
  24. Windows95, 4mb of RAM, 4mb of available hard disk space and SVGA with 
  25. 800x600 and 16k colors.

  27. While Trichi does use a sound card, it is not a requirement.

  32. If you downloaded TRICHI.ZIP from an Internet site, please follow these steps:
  33. 1)    Create a directory called C:\TRICHI
  34. 2)    Extract the contents of TRICHI.ZIP to this directory
  35. 3)    Insure the following files are located in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory:
  36.     VB40016.DLL, COMDLG16.OCX, CTL3DV2.DLL, MCI16.OCX, OC25.DLL, VAEN21.OLB

  38. Windows 3.x installation:
  39. 1)    Insert disk 1 of 3 in drive A:
  40. 2)    Click on File; Run from the Program Manager
  41. 3)    Type "A:SETUP" and click on OK

  43. Windows95 installation:
  44. 1)    Insert disk 1 of 3 in drive A:
  45. 2)    Click on Run from Start on the TaskBar
  46. 3)    Type "A:SETUP" and click on OK

  62. *    Try double-clicking on the Special Effects label on the status bar.
  63. *    All sounds are stored in .wav files and are clearly identified in their name.

  65.     own sounds using the original .wav filename.

  83. 1.  GRANT OF LICENSE.  Imagination Industries grants you the right to use
  84. one copy of the enclosed software product ("SOFTWARE") on a single computer.
  85. You may not network the SOFTWARE or otherwise use it on more than one
  86. computer or computer terminal or the like at the same time.  All rights not
  87. expressly granted are reserved by Imagination Industries Incorporated.

  89. 2.  COPYRIGHT.  The SOFTWARE (including any images, documentation, audio,
  90. animations or text incorporated into the SOFTWARE) is owned by Imagination
  91. Industries Incorporated and is protected by United States Copyright laws and
  92. International Treaty provisions.  Therefore you must treat the SOFTWARE like
  93. any other copyrighted material (e.g. - a book or musical recording) except
  94. that you may make one copy of the SOFTWARE for backup and archival purposes.
  95. You may not copy the written materials accompanying the SOFTWARE.

  97. 3.  OTHER RESTRICTIONS.  You may not rent, loan or lease the SOFTWARE, but you
  98. may transfer the SOFTWARE and user documentation on a permanent basis provided
  99. you retain no copies and the recipient agrees to the terms of this Agreement.
  100. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or dissassemble the SOFTWARE.

  102. LIMITED WARRANTY
  103.  
  104. LIMITED WARRANTY.  Imagination Industries Incorporated warrants that (a) the
  105. SOFTWARE will perform substantially in accordance with the accompanying written
  106. materials for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of receipt and (b)
  107. any "media" on which the SOFTWARE is recorded to be free from defects in
  108. material and workmanship under normal use for a period of ninety (90) days from
  109. the date of receipt.  Any implied warranties on the SOFTWARE or Media are
  110. limited to ninety (90) days.  Some states/jurisdictions do not allow limitations
  111. on duration of an implied warranty, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
  112. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights.  You may have others, which
  113. vary from state to state.

  115. CUSTOMER REMEDIES.  Imagination Industries Incorporated's entire liability and
  116. your exclusive remedy shall be, at Imagination Industries Incorporated's option,
  117. either return of the price paid, or repair or replacement of the Media not
  118. meeting Imagination Industries Incorporated's Limited Warranty and which is
  119. returned to Imagination Industries Incorporated at your expense with a copy of
  120. your receipt.  This limited warranty is void if failure of the Media has resulted
  121. from accident, abuse or misapplication.  Any replacement Media will be warranted
  122. for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty days, whichever is
  123. longer.  THESE REMEDIES ARE NOT AVAILABLE OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

  125. NO OTHER WARRANTIES.  EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, THE SOFTWARE, MEDIA AND RELATED 
  126. WRITTEN MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER 
  127. EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF 
  128. MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND YOU 
  129. ASSUME THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE, MEDIA 
  130. AND ACCOMPANYING WRITTEN MATERIALS.

  132. NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.  TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY 
  133. APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL IMAGINATION INDUSTRIES INCORPORATED OR ITS 
  134. SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, 
  135. DAMAGES FOR BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE 
  136. USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THIS IMAGINATION INDUSTRIES INCORPORATED PRODUCT.  EVEN
  137. IF IMAGINATION INDUSTRIES INCORPORATED HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH 
  138. DAMAGES.  BECAUSE SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
  139. FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

  142. The SOFTWARE and documentation are provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS.  Use, 
  143. duplication, or disclosure by the Government is subject to restrictions as set 
  144. forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer 
  145. Software clause at DFARS 252.227-7013 or subparagraphs (c)(1) and (2) of the 
  146. Commercial Computer Software - Restricted Rights at 48 CFR 52.227-19, as applicable.
