- User customisation
- ------------------
-
- 1. Introduction
-
- Splitter will be able to include plug in user tilesets, sounds and music. The following
- document is a description of what is to come.
-
-
-
- 2 User tilesets
- ---------------
-
- 2.1 Method 1: user.bmp
-
- Create a standard bitmap called user.bmp in your Splitter directory. It should
- 435 pixels wide, and 29 times the number of tilesets you have made.
-
- 2.2 Planned method 2: Tilesets directory
-
- Create a standard bitmap 435x29 in the sub-directory of your Splitter directory
- called Tilesets. Name the bitmap anything you want, this is what the Tileset will
- be called.
-
- 2.3. Creating your tileset
-
- The easiest way to make a tileset is to design the three 'blocks' (1,2 and 3
- atoms), and then cut and paste, colorizing them for each colour.
-
- The colours go in this order:
-
- Name R,G,B - Hue,Saturation
-
- Blue 0,0,255 - 170,255
- Dark Green 0,128,0 - 85,255
- Red 255,0,0 - 0,128
- Yellow 255,255,0 - 43,255
- Light Green 0,255,0 - 85,255
-
- Planned: Or you can use template.bmp and create your tileset using that, then use
- Splitter to turn it into a proper tileset file.
-
- 2.4 Conventions
-
- Make sure your tileset has the same appearance (barring colour) for each player,
- and do not make tilesets too dark (a problem for blue and red). Brighten the relevant
- colours if nessecary.
-
-
-
- 3. Music
- --------
-
- 3.1 Planned method:
-
- Just place the midi track you want to use in the Music sub-directory of Splitter.
-
- 3.2 NOTE: You cannot change the Spitter countdown midi short of replacing countdown.mid
-
-
-
- 4. Sounds
- ---------
-
- I am still working on how this will work.
-
-
-
- 5. Submit Everything!
- ---------------------
-
- Don't forget that if you have made your own tileset, e-mail it to robert@chox.demon.co.uk
- It will almost certainly be added to the CarrotSoft website, and may be included in the game
- as a constant tileset. All credits will remain yours, please give us your e-mail address,
- a name for the tileset, and tell us if you used any other sources creating the tileset (we
- can then add appropriate copyright notices).
