  84. Should you experience trouble with Nethergate crashing or with
  85. odd behavior such as static in sounds or graphics, contact the creators a

  87. the address above. First, however, there are several ways you might be
  88. able to make the problem go away.

  90. Question: Nethergate refuses to install!
  91. Answer: First, make sure you have 20 megabytes of free space on the 
  92. drive you're trying to install to. Then reboot, make sure no other 
  93. programs are running, and try installing Nethergate again. If this 
  94. doesn't work, your download may be corrupted. Try redownloading.

  96. Question:  Nethergate crashes sometimes for no reason!
  97. Answer: Several steps to try, which will eliminate many problems.
  98. 1. Sometimes files can become corrupted. If you have a lot of recurring 
  99. troubles and crashes, redownloading and reinstalling the game might help,
  100.  
  101. especially if a crash started happening after a long period of no problem
  102. s.
  103. 2. Get the latest sound and graphics drivers for your computer. These
  104. can almost always be found at the web site for your computer's
  105.  manufacturer.
  106. 3. Select Preferences from the File menu, and turn off sound effects. 
  107. This will fix some problems.
  108. 4. Run Nethergate with no other programs running.
  109. 5. Make sure you have 8 megabytes of free RAM.
  110. 6. Play Nethergate in 16 bit color. To get 16-bit color, right click on
  111. the desktop, select Properties, and click on the Settings tab.

  113. Question:  The Nethergate screen is really tiny!
  114. Answer: Right click on the desktop, select Properties, and click 
  115. on the Settings tab. Select a different screen resolution. 800x600 
  116. resoluation is recommended.

  118. Question: The Nethergate screen colors are all bizarre!
  119. Answer:  You need to play Nethergate in at least 16-bit color mode. 
  120. To get 16-bit color, right click on
  121. the desktop, select Properties, and click on the Settings tab.

  123. Question:  OK. I installed the game. It runs fine. It looks fine. But I
  124. keep starving, if the monsters don't kill me first, and I don't have any 
  125. gold!
  126. Answer:  Read the Neginner's Tutorial section near the end of the 
  127. manual (run the game hit F1 to get the manual).
