- ===========================================================================
- Only the first 24 lines are read in this config file. There must be at
- least 24 lines in this file, with any unused Net Names, Net Directories,
- Net Types, and Log File Names listed as 'NONE', down to the 24th line. If
- this example is not followed, the program will not function correctly.
-
- BELOW IS AN EXPLANATION OF THE ABOVE FORMAT:
-
- 1: BBS Name (35 characters max)
- 2: Registration Number (00000 if unregistered)
- 3: Path+filename of ANSI Bulletin
- 4: Path+filename of ASCII Bulletin
- 5: Name of NET #1 (Limit Net Names to 26 chars!)
- 6: Path+Filename of Log File - Net # 1
- 7: Path+Filename of LDT File - Net # 1 (Lines 5-24 *MUST* exist)
- 8: NET # 1 Net Software Type
- 9: Name of NET #2 (If you dont need to use all 5 slots,)
- 10: Path+Filename of Log File - NET # 2 (enter net info starting at line 5, )
- 11: Path+Filename of LDT File - NET # 2 (then simply type 'NONE' on each line)
- 12: NET # 2 Net Software Type (not used. NONE must be in UPPERCASE!)
- 13: Name of NET # 3 ( The NONE lines *MUST* be at the )
- 14: Path+Filename of Log File - NET # 3 ( bottom, not top or middle !!! )
- 15: Path+Filename of LDT File - NET # 3
- 16: NET # 3 Net Software Type (Valid Network Software Types for )
- 17: Name of NET #4 (this version are: )
- 18: Path+Filename of Log File - NET # 4 (POSTLINK, PCRELAY, TNET, JNET )
- 19: Path+Filename of LDT File - NET # 4
- 20: NET # 4 Net Software Type (The LDT File is created by NETSTAT)
- 21: Name of NET #5 (To Store Date/Time/Stats For Each )
- 22: Path+Filename of Log File - NET # 5 (Net. Suggested Names are: LDT.1, )
- 23: Path+Filename of LDT File - NET # 5 (LDT.2, LDT.3, etc. )
- 24: NET # 5 Net Software Type
-
-
- After some hesitation, I added a provision to allow NETSTAT to be used with
- network software not yet supported by NETSTAT. This provision allows
- NETSTAT to include the date/time in the bulletins for those nets, and
- inserts a message that stats for this net are not available where the stats
- would normally appear. Below is a four-line example of how to set this up
- for a non-supported net type.
-
- The differences are that you put 'NONE' on the second line of that net
- configuration where the path to the log file would normally be. And, on the
- fourth line, use 'NOSUPYET' as the Net Type. So, the four lines pertaining
- to a net of this sort could look like:
-
- Fictitious Network
- NONE
- LDT.5
- NOSUPYET
