  1. The MainMail System Help - Reset Pointers

  4. This function will reset your 'Last Message Read' pointers in
  5. all of your selected forums.  When you choose [R]eset Pointers,
  6. you are presented with this prompt:

  8. Enter a number to set Pointers back by, or [Enter] to Abort:
  9.  
  10. If you enter a number, MainMail will find the highest message
  11. number in each forum you have SELECTED (see [S]elect for
  12. information on selecting forums), subtract this number from it,
  13. and set your 'Last Message Read' pointer to the new number.

  15. This is an easy way to tell The MainMail System to extract, say,
  16. 50 messages from each of the forums you take.
  17.  
  18. If you press [Enter] alone, MainMail will abort this function,
  19. and return you to the main prompt.
