  20. BBS systems as a Private file. Then please wait for us
  21. to call your system and verify you on the spot. We will
  22. leave you a note telling you if you are approved on the
  23. first call. Now is that easy or what! If for some reason
  24. you do not hear from us within 2-3 days, call back the
  25. system you sent the application to. You should see a
  26. message for you explaining the dealy in processing your
  27. application. Usually lots of busy signals and other stuff.

  35. The fine print:

  37. 1)  Your system must run 24 hours a day
  38. 2)  You must do a mail run at least once a week, but you need not do one
  39.     more often than that
  40. 3)  All mail that you import/download from a Hub must be tagged as follows
  41.     ■ LostNet ■ The name and phone number of the BBS you got your mail from
  42.     Example: ■ LostNet ■ The Lost Carrier BBS ■ (914) 964-0419
  43.     Note: You can use any ASCII characters you like to replace the ■
  44. 4)  All mail that you export/upload to a Hub must be tagged as follows
  45.     ■ LostNet ■ Your BBS name and phone number
  46.     Example: ■ LostNet ■ Cravings BBS ■ (718) 204-7831
  47. 5)  Of course if your network software puts its' own ID in front of the
  48.     LostNet that's ok
  49. 6)  LostNet supports .QWK and FIDO/Front Door based systems
  50. 7)  LostNet has 3 conferences. The Free4All and ANSI for all of your users,
  51.     and LostNet for the LostNet Sysops which is restricted to Sysops
  52.     You must carry all 3 conferences, but need only read the LostNet conference
  53. 8)  Access to the LostNet conferences should be restricted to those over
  54.     18 years of age
  55. 9)  Approval is virtually guaranteed, unless there is already a system in your
  56.     local calling area that objects
  57. 10) Finally, LostNet is open to any and all suggestions you may have
  58. 11) We are always looking to add new conferences so if you think any of
  59.     your local conferences might fit in out Lostnet, just let us know
