  1. What it is?
  2.  
  3. NRK-NET is a Synchronet Elite Message Network, and as far as I know
  4. the only one that is specifically for Synchronet..we may eventually
  5. move our setup to other systems (when I figure out how), but for now
  6. it's Sync only, sorry!
  7.  
  8. By Elite, I mean Anarchy, Hacking, Virii, Cracking, Etc.
  9. Once You Apply, I MUST Call your BBS to check it out and approve it
  10. for NRK-NET, Any Attempt otherwise to gain access to NRK-NET will be
  11. revoked on dark dreams.

  13. NRK-NET is NOT nRk, Just because you get approved for the message bases
  14. does not automatically make you a member for nRk, to become a member of
  15. nRk, please telnet to darkdream.darktech.org and find out on the bbs
  16. exactly what is required to become a member.

  20. Ok, this is a crude manual since i'm new to all this, but setting up your
  21. bbs for nrk-net should be a snap!  I have the steps listed below as to how to
  22. setup the network

  24. First off copy the subs.txt file to your ?:\SBBS\CTRL Directory
  25. Then edit the dribble.bat file and put in your handle and password
  26. exactly as it was when you logged onto Dark Dreams and your handle
  27. has to match your QWK ID on your BBS.  If you already have an account
  28. on Dark Dreams and would like your handle changed to reflect this
  29. then email me at dribble@darkdream.darktech.org

  31. This done, Copy both dribble.bat and dribble.ftp ?:\SBBS\EXEC
  32. now the hard stuff

  34. 1. Enter Scfg
  35. 2. Click The Message Areas Option
  36. 3. Hit Insert to add a new network
  37. 4. Name it NRK-NET for both long and short names
  38. 5. Go ahead an enter the base you just created then click import areas
  39.     Go ahead and choose subs.txt (Synchronet)
  40. 6. Now that that the Sub-Boards have been imported enter the Sub-Board system
  41.     And Start on General Discussion, Open it up and click on advanced options,
  42.     don't worry about network options  yet, Click on the option that says
  43.     QWK Conference Number and hit enter, then type in 5000, after that is done
  44.     Exit General Discussion and place the appropriate numbers listed below in their
  45.     Appropriate Sub-Boards:

  68. 7. Now that that is finished go back to your main SCFG menu, make sure you
  69. save the changes

  71. 8. Now enter the Networks then QWK Packet Networks, Then Network Hubs and
  72. hit insert, then goto System ID and do the following:

  74. System Id: DRIBBLE
  75.  
  76. 9. and for Call Out Command Line: %!dribble.bat
  77.  
  78. 10. Then Click Networked Sub Boards
  79. And Hit Insert..click NRK-NET when the message groups comes up
  80. then as before start on General Discussion and hit enter when it asks
  81. for conference number or hub put 5000 then add all the other bases using
  82. the same numbers as listed above.

  84. 11. Make sure you go back into your message area subs in SCFG and
  85.     set duplicate CRC checking for each sub to 5000, not the sub number
  86.     itself but the number 5000.

  88. 12. Now everything should be configured correctly, you can change your
  89. callout time but make sure it calls out at least once a day, if you want
  90. to be really safe go back to your message bases /Sub Board/ network options
  91. and make sure QWK is set on YES, I will be making a Hub List Soon
