- TITLE : WORDWRAPPING A FIELD
-
-
-
-
- In order to wordwrap a field in a Paradox report or form, please
- do the following:
-
- 1. Reformat the field to the maximum size you want the first
- line of the wrap to be. For example, if you have a 255
- char field and want it to appear as 4 lines on a report,
- set the field mask to 64 characters (255/4=64 rounding
- up). The idea is to display only those characters that
- make up the first line of the wrapped lines.
-
- 2. Select <F10> <F>ield <W>ordwrap. Place the cursor on the
- field to be worwrapped when prompted. Pres <ENTER>
-
- 3. Enter the number of lines you wish the field to wrap onto.
- This would be 4 in the example above.
-
-
-
- SOME THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR
-
- 1. If you are designing a form, make sure there are not fields
- or text located in the area under the wrapped line. In our
- example, we would make sure the 3 lines under the placed field
- are totally blank.
-
- 2. Wordwrap should not be used side by side with other fields or
- text.
-
- 3. If you want to preserve blank lines in a report specification
- below a wordwrapped field, type the keyword BLANKLINE at the
- beginning of the line.
