  22. ------------------
  23. Payouts for natural straights were ignored in all games.
  24. This has been corrected in the 2.01 update.
  25.  
  26. Also, the payouts for a Straight Flush with a Joker and
  27. Five of a Kind in Joker Poker were reversed. This has
  28. been corrected in the 2.01 update as well.
  29.  
  30. New Features
  31. ------------
  32. Version 2.01 now includes both 8/5 and 9/6 Jacks or Better,
  33. Kings or Better Joker Poker, and of course you may still
  34. play Deuces Wild as well.
  35.  
  36. Version 2.01 also has expanded the detail on the Game
  37. Statistics and you may now save the stats for any game
  38. separately or print them directly from within the game.
  39.  
  40. You may now Cash out the current credits into the new
  41. Credit Bank. The Credit Bank is maintained separately
  42. from any game. As a result you may add credits to any
  43. game from the Credit Bank.
  44.  
  45. We have also improved the gaphics, interface, and general
  46. appearance of the program.

  48. Upgrading from earlier versions
  49. -------------------------------
  50. Version 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2 game files (*.vpp) are
  51. compatible with, and may be opened in, version 2.01. 
  52. However, in some instances you may get a message box
  53. that says, "Please finish the current hand before 
  54. changing games." Just click OK and ignore the message.
  55. Once you save the game in version 2.01 format the message
  56. will not appear. However, version 2.01 game files (*.vp2)
  57. are NOT compatible with earlier versions.

  59. Registering Video Poker Plus
  60. ----------------------------
  61. Video Poker Plus has been provided to you fully
  62. functional. We trust that if you find the program
  63. performs as promised you will want to keep it. You have 
  64. 30 days to evaluate the program and make this decision.
  65. After 30 days you must register the program in order to
  66. keep using it without violating the license agreement.
  67. We've added a convenient reminder screen that you will
  68. begin to see after the 30 day evaluation period has
  69. passed.

  87. Installation Instructions
  88. -------------------------
  89. If you downloaded a Zip file (it will have a file
  90. extension of .zip):
  91. Unzip the archive file into a directory of your
  92. choice. Run the Setup.exe program. Once you have
  93. successfully installed the progam you may delete
  94. the installation files.

  96. If you downloaded an Exe file (it will have a file
  97. extension of .exe):
  98. In Windows Explorer, click on the exe file you 
  99. downloaded and follow the instructions. Once you 
  100. have the program successfully installed you may
  101. delete the exe program you downloaded.

  103. Technical Support
  104. -----------------
  105. To report a problem or ask a question you may write
  106. to the address above or email support@pumpkinbuggy.com.
  107. We will respond to your question as soon as possible.
  108. Of course, email is much quicker.

  110. Please be as specific as possible and provide as much 
  111. detail as possible. For example, if you are receiving an
  112. error include the complete error message text, the text 
  113. in the title bar of the error dialog, and exactly what 
  114. you were doing when you received the error.

  116. Uninstall Instructions
  117. ----------------------
  118. To remove Video Poker Plus from your system run the
  119. unintall by selecting 'Settings/Control Panel' from the
  120. 'Start' menu. Run the 'Add/Remove Program' applet and
  121. select 'Video Poker Plus' from the list of installed
  122. programs. The uninstall program will run and ask you to
  123. confirm that you want to fully remove the program. Press
  124. 'Yes' to continue.

  126. If there are problems with uninstalling as described
  127. above, you may remove Video Poker Plus manually as
  128. describe below.

  130. Uninstalling Manually
  131. ---------------------
  132. Before removing Video Poker Plus manually save this
  133. Readme.txt file to another location for future reference.
  134. Once you have successfully uninstalled you may delete it.
  135.  
  136. Also, you will notice that the $ symbol is sometimes used
  137. in the name in certain cases. This is not a mis-print.
  138.  
  139. If you accepted the defaults when installing, the program
  140. was installed to c:\program files\video poker plus
  141. on your harddrive. Run Explorer and select this directory
  142. or the directory you installed to if you changed the
  143. defaults during installation. Press the 'Delete' key and
  144. respond 'Yes' to the confirmation.
  145.  
  146. While still in Explorer go to the 'View' menu and select
  147. 'Options.' Click on the 'File Types' tab and scroll to
  148. 'Video Poker Plus' in the file list. Select it and 
  149. press the 'Remove' button and respond 'Yes' to the 
  150. confirmation. Press 'OK' and close Explorer.

  152. There are also some registry entries that you may want
  153. to remove. However, if you have never explored the system
  154. registry, you should skip this step. These registry
  155. entries will not cause any problems or harm your system.
  156. If you are familiar with the registry search for the
  157. 'Video Poker Plus' key and delete it. Then search
  158. for the 'vpplus20.exe' key and delete it.

  160. That's it. You have uninstalled Video Poker Plus manually.
