- CodeWallet Notes
- Please Read.
- Encryption not applicable to Evaluation version.
- ----------------
-
- * CodeWallet supports 56-bit encryption.
-
- * Remember your password!
-
- * Security/encryption is enabled at the card folder level.
- All cards contained in a secure folder are encrypted.
- You decide what's worth keeping from prying eyes.
-
- * When locking the current file, if the currently open DataCard
- is owned by a secure folder, the DataCard will be saved and closed.
-
- * Changing the security properties of an existing DataCard
- folder requires that the file be unlocked.
-
- * For security reasons, CodeWallet does not store any part of
- your password in the registry or your data files. Again,
- remember your password!
-
- * Only you know the password to your data. Remember your
- password. Without it, there is no way to view or recover the
- information stored on datacards contained in secure folders.
- Without your password, only those cards contained in unsecure
- folders will be accessible.
-
- * CodeWallet does not require you the user to issue a command
- to "compact" data files. CodeWallet was engineered to make
- efficient use of data files, and keeps these files at a
- minimum size at all times. We work extremely hard at trying
- to making things simple for you.
-
- * There is no save command in CodeWallet.
- When you switch to another card, create another card, or exit
- the application, the currently open card is automatically saved.
- To cancel any changes to an open card, select "Cancel changes"
- from the edit menu.
-
- * Credit Card/Calling Card Images.
- To load a new card image into these types of DataCards, simply
- tap on the upper right corner of the card. A list of all *.bmp
- and *.2bp bitmap files that are located in your "\My Documents"
- folder (in main memory or storage card) will appear.
- Once imported, you may delete the image file from your device
- if so desired.
-
- Maximum size of Credit/Calling Card images: 218 H x 84 V (Pixels)
- Note: The imported images may be larger than this, however they
- will be cropped to fit this size.
-
- * Picture Card
- To load a new picture into a picture card, tap the upper right
- corner of the picture card to open a file selection window.
- Select the image you wish to import. The contents of this bitmap
- file will be directly imported into the DataCard file. Once
- imported, you may delete the image file from your device if so desired.
-
- * Ink Notes
- All DataCard templates with the exception of the Picture Card support
- Note Taker compatible ink notes.
- To edit ink notes, simply tap once on the ink area of any card to
- open the ink editor.
-
- * Exchanging ink notes with DataCards and Note Taker files
- CodeWallet makes it easy to either import the content of any Note
- Taker file into your DataCards.
- To import or export ink notes, open the ink editor and select
- import or export from the Tools menu. A great way to store sensitive
- information!
-
- * Creating Credit/Charge/Calling card images
- You may design your own card images for import into these types
- of DataCards!
- 1.) Using a graphics editor on your desktop capable of creating bitmap
- (*.bmp) files, create and/or edit the desired card background image.
-
- 2.) Connect your mobile device to your desktop computer and open the
- Mobile Devices desktop explorer.
-
- 3.) Transfer the bitmap images from the desktop to the device's
- \My Documents folder (or one of it's subfolders).
-
- ** Note: Color devices, be sure that bitmap conversion is not
- enabled. From the desktop mobile devices explorer window,
- select Tools / File Conversion. Under the "Desktop->Device"
- tab, select "Bitmap image".
-
- The first entry below this should read:
-
- Desktop computer files of the type
- Bitmap Image *.bmp
-
- Make sure the second entry matches this and is not set to
- Bitmap Image *.2bp
-
-
- 4.) To import the images into your DataCards, tap once in the
- upper right corner of the Charge/Credit/Debit or Calling Card
- DataCard.
-
- 5.) Select the appropriate image for import.
-
- 6.) If you are satisfied with the image as it has been imported,
- you may remove it from the device. CodeWallet will store
- the image data directly in your card file.
