  3. I AM worn out with dreams;
  4. A weather-worn, marble triton
  5. Among the streams;
  6. And all day long I look
  7. Upon this lady's beauty
  8. As though I had found in a book
  9. A pictured beauty,
  10. pleased to have filled the eyes
  11. Or the discerning ears,
  12. Delighted to be but wise,
  13. For men improve with the years;
  14. And yet, and yet,
  15. Is this my dream, or the truth?
  16. O would that we had met
  17. When I had my burning youth!
  18. But I grow old among dreams,
