  1. Mask                   <Amiga-M>
  2. The  Mask function is one of the most
  3. powerful features of a computer paint
  4. program.   In  the  world of material
  5. art  the ability to mask off portions
  6. of  an  image  is  used  by  airbrush
  7. artists,  professional photographers,
  8. printers, and even sign makers.  With
  9. the  help  of the mask function it is
  10. easily  possible to separate a person
  11. from  any  type of background or even
  12. to  change  the color of the sky from
  13. blue  to  orange.   One  of  the more
  14. difficult  features to master but one
  15. of the most rewarding!

  17. In  the  first line of this requester
  18. you  determine  the  kind of mask you
  19. wish   to  use  by  the  two  buttons
  20. located at the top of the screen.  By
  21. selecting  ´Non'  you  turn  all mask
  22. features  off.   If  for  example you
  23. want to change only one color in your
  24. image  but  it  is  interspersed  you
  25. should  choose  ´One'.   And  if  you
  26. prefer  to  work with a Color Look Up
  27. Table  choose  ´CLUT'.   To  select a
  28. certain color out of the color range,
  29. select  ´Hue'.   You  may  also build
  30. masks  using  ´Value' or ´Saturation'
  31. masks,  these  masks  work  using the
  32. selected brightness or saturation.
