- Creating your own brushes is simple.
- Create a new directory (say ThickCrayon) in your photogenics:data/brushes
- directory.
-
- Create a large brush (100x100) in Photogenics or any other paint program,
- and save it (in any format) as a file called 'brush' to your new
- directory.
-
- Now copy over the 'default' and 'prefs' files from a similar brush.
- You may also want to copy the 'hook' file if present. This hook determines
- how the brush interacts with the background (eg some brushes
- have translucent paint).
-
- Now load Photogenics, and choose your new brush. Resize the brush
- and change the pressure until you are happy with the settings, then SAVE
- the settings from the brush menu.
-
- Now quit Photogenics, delete the 'default' file from the new brush
- directory and create a copy of the 'prefs' file called 'default'.
-
- Now your brush is permanently set up!
-
- WARNING!
- ========
- In the future the format of brushes WILL change. You can use this
- method to make your own brushes for the moment, but do not rely on
- this for future versions...
