  1. Creating your own brushes is simple. 
  2. Create a new directory (say ThickCrayon) in your photogenics:data/brushes
  3. directory.
  4.  
  5. Create a large brush (100x100) in Photogenics or any other paint program, 
  6. and save it (in any format) as a file called 'brush' to your new
  7. directory.
  8.  
  9. Now copy over the 'default' and 'prefs' files from a similar brush.
  10. You may also want to copy the 'hook' file if present. This hook determines
  11. how the brush interacts with the background (eg some brushes
  12. have translucent paint).
  13.  
  14. Now load Photogenics, and choose your new brush. Resize the brush
  15. and change the pressure until you are happy with the settings, then SAVE
  16. the settings from the brush menu.

  18. Now quit Photogenics, delete the 'default' file from the new brush
  19. directory and create a copy of the 'prefs' file called 'default'.

  21. Now your brush is permanently set up!

  25. In the future the format of brushes WILL change. You can use this
  26. method to make your own brushes for the moment, but do not rely on
  27. this for future versions...
