  8. This is the full version of EGS-TV V4.5a, the shareware video software for
  9. EGS graphic boards. To use this as full version you need a keyfile, which
  10. can only be obtained by registering directly by me. Without keyfile
  11. EGS-TV has some restrictions.

  13. What does EGS-TV offer?
  14. -----------------------

  16. EGS-TV is a pure EGS program. It offers high/true-color sequence editing
  17. and animation generation for random access sequences on your harddisk
  18. (Professional version only). It can apply amazing trick technics as the
  19. Blue Screen Keying to your pictures and sequences/animations. Did you ever
  20. want to edit an 80MByte animation and delete a frame out of the middle?
  21. No problem with EGS-TV-Professional...

  23. All this is done through a font sensitive EGS user interface which runs
  24. on your biggest screens in 24Bit color quality...

  86. Requirements

  89. * Amiga-OS 2.04 or higher
  90.   (OS3.0 or higher is recommended for harddisk recording and also needed
  91.    for DataType support and sequence editing control with the joystick port)

  93. * EGS-System version 6.0 or higher
  94.   EGS System 7.x users can find a window iconification icon in the
  95.   archive (subdirectory EGS-Icons). This can be copied to EGS:EGS-Icons
  96.   and will then be used as iconification icon instead of the default
  97.   icon for all EGS-TV windows.

  99. * Much memory (at least 4MByte Fast-RAM; 6MByte Fast-RAM recommended)

  101. Video hardware support
  102. ----------------------
  103.  
  104. * VLab-Framegrabber (classical and Y/C; also as Parallelport versions;
  105.                the VLab-Motion can not be supported as MacroSystem is
  106.              not willing to provide documentation for programmers)

  108. * IV24 as Framegrabber
  109.  
  110. * Cameron/Reisware handy scanner (no real Video hardware, but they
  111.   can be used as frame source for greyscale pictures as well)

  115. EGS-TV can also be used without a framegrabber as stand alone video program
  116. (animation/sequence generation) by import and load functions.

  118. Registering
  119. -----------
  120.  
  121. The registration fee for EGS-TV Professional is currently 30US$ for users
  122. outside of europe and 40DM for users in europe (see registration form for
  123. other possible currencies). Alternatively you can still register the clas-
  124. sical version of EGS-TV (20US$ or 25DM) (see documentation for differences).
  125.  
  126. English and german versions available. An extensive documentation (more
  127. than 100kByte) is included in Amiga-Guide format.
  128.  
  129. Free updates are normally available due to the keyfile concept.
  130.  
  131. A registrationform is included in the archiv (please print it with 12CPI
  132. and a left margin of 10).

  134. Separate player program
  135. -----------------------
  136.  
  137. A separate player program for EGS-TV sequences is now available.
  138. It plays sequences direct from harddrive and is independent of special
  139. video hard- or software (but it needs the EGS system as well).
  140. You can find EGS-TV-Player in a separate archiv named "egstvplayerxx.lha"
  141. where xx is the version number.

  143. Disclaimer
  144. ----------

  146. I tried my best to make this program error-free. It has been checked
  147. with enforcer and mungwall and works without problems on my configuration.
  148. Nevertheless, as there are so many possible configurations of Amigas,
  149. EGS-Systems, framegrabbers, I can not guarantee that this software
  150. will work on your configuration. Especially the complex EGS-System
  151. does not have the desired stability in some situations. In cases
  152. where I found problems with EGS, I tried to workaround them, or
  153. explained them in this document.

  155. This software (program and documentation) is provided "as is" and
  156. comes with no warranty, either expressed or implied.
  157. The author is in no way responsible for any damage or loss that may
  158. occur due to direct or indirect usage of this software. You use
  159. this software entirely at your own risk.

  172. The demo version of EGS-TV may be freely distributed and used as long
  173. as the following conditions are met:
  174.  
  175. 1) All files have to be kept together
  176.  
  177. 2) No file may be modified or crunched/packed.
  178.  
  179.    The only official way to distribute EGS-TV demo packed is the original
  180.    egstv.lha or egstv.lzh-archive.
  181.  
  182.    EGS-TV may not be disassembled or analysed. The limitations integrated
  183.    in the demo version may under no circumstance be removed or bypassed.
  184.  
  185. 3) Distributors may only charge for the duplication process (including media)
  186.    and not for the software. Theese charges may not exceed the following
  187.    limits: a) EGS-TV demo on a PD-disk: 8$ (US-dollar) including
  188.               postage&packing (in Germany: 12DM)
  189.        b) EGS-TV demo on a PD-CD-ROM: 50$ (US-dollar) including
  190.               postage&packing (in Germany: 75DM)
  191.        c) EGS-TV demo on a BBS/Mailbox/ftp-site or other electronically
  192.               callable system: Maximum charge 4$ (US-dollar) (in Germany: 6DM)
  193.               for downloading
  194.    Anyway, it must be made explictly clear to the buyer, that he does not
  195.    pay for the program (demo) itself but only for the duplication service.

  197. 4) It is not allowed to distribute EGS-TV with any commercial product without
  198.    a written permission by me. One exception is the distribution of the demo
  199.    version with products, not exceeding the above price limits (e.g. a cover-
  200.    disk magazine for 8$ or less).

  202.    The following companies have my explicit permission to distribute the
  203.    EGS-TV demo with their products: NOVA Design, Ingenieurbüro Helfrich,
  204.    Macrosystem

  206.    If you want to distribute EGS-TV demo with your commercial product
  207.    (hardware or software) write to me for details.

  209.    If you want your software or hardware product to be capable of working

  212. 5) The registered version may not be redistributed. It may only run on one
  213.    machine per registration. It is allowed to make a backup copy of the
  214.    original disk.
