- What is LowPlay ?
-
- LowPlay is a small CLI program (7k) that simply plays the following module
- formats :
-
- ProTracker (All)
- SoundTracker (Most)
- NoiseTracker (All)
-
- If your do find one of these that doesn't play, contact me.
-
- What do I need to run it?
-
- An Amiga. I'm not sure what OS version you need.
-
- It works on the following (my machine) :
-
- Amiga A1200 10Mb, 400Mb HD. WB 40.42, Kick 39.106.
-
- What files should I have?
-
- This distributtion MUST contain :
-
- LowPlay - 7660 - The main program
- LowPlay.guide - 6423 - The AmigaGuide® documentation.
- LowPlay.doc - - The ASCII documentation.
-
- If any of the files are missing or the incorrect size, contact me.

- a module, the program wouldn't allow you to delete the file specified !
- Now fixed, but uses more mem (loads everything into buff)
-
- Copyright and Distribution
-
- This program is distrubuted under the concept of FREEWARE !
- In other words, you can copy it and
- freely distribute it (including uploading to BBS/Aminet etc.), as long as:
-
- - You don't charge anything for it (except for media costs, about £5 UK max.)
- - You include ALL files listed.
- - You don't modify any files.
-
- (For inclusion on compilation CDs or magazine coverdisks/cover CDs, contact
- me. Any other queries, contact me. No permission is necessary for
- inclusion on Aminet or Fred Fish CDs.)
-
- For clarity, here is the copyright info, as in the source code.

-
- You use this program entirely at your own risk. The author will accept no
- responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage caused by this program
- including but not limited to loss of or damage to data.
-
- Using LowPlay
-
-
- This must be used from either a CLI (Shell) or a script.
- The command accepts the following parameters :
-
- <filename>
-
- Where filename is the name and path of the NT/ST/PT module you wish to play.
-
- If you don't pass a command, the program will display USAGE info.
-
- To quit while playing, press Ctrl-C !
-
- For inclusion into a script, try something like this
-
- LowPlay >NIL: ram:mod.mymodule
-
- This will NOT display any copyright info and play the mod.
-
- But it doesn't....
-
- But it doesn't....
-
- Play exotic modules such as OctaMED, XM, etc....
-
- - I know !
-
- Allow me to select wether I wan't the module to loop
-
- - This will be in the next version
-
- Have a fancy GUI
-
- - The whole idea is that it's a CLI player !
-
- Work while using my graphics package etc...
-
- - Hmm... this could be a problem, contact me.
-
-
- Bugs !
-
- The only problems I've found myself are.....
-
- - On some modules, particulary ones that have been converted from OctaMED
- using AMFC etc... play slower than they should do...
-
- - If a module is corrupt the program doesn't seem to report it, it just
- comes up with `File not found'
-
- Anyway, if you do find any bugs, contact me.
-
