  4. 2 EXTERNAL PLAYER LIBRARY UPDATES FOR D.A.S.MODULE PLAYER v3.5x

  7. Following two libraries are provided each with 68000 and 68020
  8. optimised versions.
  9.  
  10. These can be used with 3.5b of D.A.S.Module Player.

  12. dasXM.library V2.3 (68000 & 68020 versions)
  13. dasS3M0.library V2.70 (68000 & 68020 versions)
  14.

  16. o Several bugs has been removed from both libraries. 
  17. o Maximum Volume Boost has been increased to 8 for over 16 channel 
  18.     XM modules. 
  19. o CHIP buffer is selectable. 8/16/32 kb options available.

  21. o Info output in S3M is a bit different.

  24. Main reason for releasing these is that after this release neither
  25. of these will be 100 % backward compatible with 3.x versions of 
  26. D.A.S.MP. The D.A.S.MP 4.0 will include more powerfull info
  27. system and since EPLs provide their own information, it will
  28. have to be changed.

  31. New features in 4.0 (will require MUI 3.3)

  33. o Multiple List Interface
  34. o Information about module in listviews is user configurable
  35.     - following things can be selected to be shown in listviews:
  36.     - Name, Module Type, Author, Style, Channels, Time, Rating
  37. o More sorting modes
  38. o Scripts can be ran from the program
  39. o Drag & Drop operation
  40. o Enhanced Info
  41. o Enhanced Authoring system (Affiliations, aliases)
  42. o Selector system (name patterns, rating, module duration)
  43. o IOL system (external scopes, loaders..)

  45. As a whole the 4.0 looks and works quite different from
  46. the older versions.
