  16.                            BEYOND SANIT-E THREE
  17.                          INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  19. Although, in theory, Beyond Sanit-E can be installed onto a hard drive or be
  20. run  when you have booted from an a different disk (such as Workbench), this
  21. has not be tested.  So, we advise you to always boot from Beyond Sanit-E III
  22. - Disk One whenever possible.

  24. But you're a fussy lot out there, aren't ya!!!!

  26. Obviously this is going to involve messing about with libraries and shit, so
  27. you're gonna have to be confident at using AmigaDOS to follow it.

  29. Anyway, here goes!!!!

  33. SYSTEM FILES
  34.  
  35. The  following files are required to be located in the specified directories
  36. on the boot disk (hard or floppy):

  39.     [In the  SYS:DEVS/  directory]
  40.  
  41.     SYSTEM-CONFIGURATION    -    The file saved by preferences.
  42.                     Needed for printer driver.
  43.     PRINTER.DEVICE        -    Needed to open printer.
  44.     PARALLEL.DEVICE        -    Needed for Parallel printers.
  45.

  47.     [In the  SYS:DEVS/PRINTERS/  directory]
  48.  
  49.     GENERIC            -    Printer driver (required by
  50.                     System-Configuration file.
  51.  
  52.  
  53.     [In the  SYS:L/  directory]
  54.  
  55.     RAM-HANDLER        -    For RAM storage. Used by the
  56.                     CrunchMania decruncher.
  57.     PORT-HANDLER        -    Required for use of the
  58.                     Printer Port. !IMPORTANT!

  61.     [In the  SYS:C/  directory]
  62.  
  63.     RUN            -    For correct use of the
  64.                     CrunchMania decruncher.
  65.                     (Required only if using an
  66.                     1.3 system as new machines
  67.                     have the command built into the
  68.                     ROM.)

  73.     REQ.LIBRARY        -    Used to display WB requesters.
  74.     DISKFONT.LIBRARY    -    Used for fonts. Maybe!
  75.     CRM.LIBRARY        -    Used by the CrunchMania
  76.                     decruncher.

  79. Of  course,  all  these  files  can  be found in the relevant directories on
  80. Beyond Sanit-E III - Disk One.

  84. BOOTING FROM ANOTHER FLOPPY DISK
  85.  
  86. After  making  sure that the above files can all be found in the right place
  87. on  the boot disk, insert Beyond Sanit-E III - Disk One and double-click the
  88. disk icon (from WorkBench).
  89.  
  90. Now  double-click  the  BSMAG3.EXE  icon.
  91.  
  92. Beyond  Sanit-E  should  (I said SHOULD!  Not WOULD!) now unfold in front of
  93. your very eyes!

  97. INSTALLING ONTO A HARD DRIVE

  99. After  making  sure that the above files can all be found in the right place
  100. on the hard drive, insert Beyond Sanit-E III - Disk One.
  101.  
  102. Now make a directory on the hard drive called:- BEYOND>SANIT-E<III(DISK-1)
  103. Copy  all  the  files  and  directories from the BS disk into this directory
  104. (excluding S, LIBS, DEVS and L).
  105. Assign       BEYOND>SANIT-E<III(DISK-1):        to      the      appropriate
  106. BEYOND>SANIT-E<III(DISK-1) directory you have just created.

  108. Make another directory on the hard drive called:- BEYOND>SANIT-E<III(DISK-2)
  109. Now insert Beyond Sanit-E III - Disk Two.  As before, copy all the files and
  110. directories  from  the  disk (possibly excluding this text file as it is not
  111. needed.).
  112. Again,   assign   BEYOND>SANIT-E<III(DISK-2):    to   the   directory  named
  113. BEYOND>SANIT-E<III(DISK-2) you have just made.

  115. You'll  now  be  able to enjoy a speedier version of Beyond Sanit-E.  (Yeah,
  116. just see how fast the error messages appear!)
