c04after  having  read  this latest article by you (in Generation #22), as always
filled   with   sense   and  reason,  I  have  realized  that  there  are  two
possibilities...

c04)c02  You are a fake, created by certain editors, to give themselves a laugh and
fool  around  with people.  Seen this way, your articles actually become quite
entertaining to read.  This is the most probable alternative.

c04)c03  You are for real.  This is the depressing alternative, as it makes it just
too  clear  how pathetic you are.  I guess you'll never read this - you'd have
to use a "Lamiga" then - but in case you do, I'll reply to your latest work of
art (I really don't know why...).  First of all, you declare yourself an adult
in  the  last  paragraph,  but  a  "reasonable adult" would never write such a
childish  bunch  of  crap.   Why  are  you in the scene?  To have fun with the
computer of your choice, or to slag down on others?

c02You  are  writing  lots  of confused things about the Amiga "having killed yet
another  company".   It  is  clear that you do not know anything about all the
business around f2Commodoref1,f2 Escomf1,f2 Viscorp f1etc.  More than you want to know, of
course.   Commodore  died because of complete lack of knowledge about business
management.   The  fact that they bought thef4 Amigaf1 in the first place was what
kept  them going for that many years.  The f4Amigaf1 has never solt bad!  Instead,
it  was f2Commodoresf1 tries to expand into the PC market that really dragged them
down.   The  f4Plus4f1,  the f4CDTVf1 and thef4 CD32f1 topped the disaster.  None of these
machines  really  being  bad, but how can a computer sell without advertising?
Commodore didn't know, in fact they didn't know anything.

c02f2Escomf1  was  a  company  on  the way down when they bought thef4 Amigaf1.  Their PC
sales  chart  last  december  was  far  below  the expected, leaving them with
enormous  stocks  of  unsellable,  outdated PC computers.  This problem had no
solution - in fact it killed the before so healthy company.  The small amounts
of money thatf2 Escomf1 had the time to pump into f4Amiga Technologiesf1 had no effect
whatsoever on the company's bad economy.
Do you follow me, Killerhawk?
c03No f4 Amiga f1 owner would disagree with you on the management of thef4 Amigaf1, be it
f2Commodoref1, f2 ATf1, f2 Escom f1or whatever.  But is that a reason to hate the computer
itself?   Tell  me,  what  can you really do with a PC that runs in 14 mhz, or
even  7  mhz?   Where  is  the good part with the ridiculous hardware demands?
When comparing f4PC'sf1 andf4 Amigasf1 running in the same speed, which computer would
you  or  anyone consider the "best", and why?  If you still think it's so damn
fun playing Doom, maybe after all you're not the grown-up adult you would like
to be?

c02We  cannot  change  history.  Therefore, thef4 Amigaf1 is a niche market today (to
say  the  least)  and  f4Bill  Gates f1 is  thy  Lord and Master.  I guess you are
satisfied  with  this,  well,  I  am  too.  In fact I am bloody proud to own a
computer  which  Microsoft  hasn't  infected.   I don't have an Amiga to write
reports  and essays.  I use Word.  I don't have an Amiga to make calculations.
I  use  Excel.   I don't have an Amiga to raytrace.  If I wanted to raytrace I
would  use  Lightwave  PC - or get a 060.  Noone today thinks the Amiga can or
should be compared to PC's - noone but you, Killerhawk.  If there was no Scene
I  would  have got rid of the f4Amigaf1 in about 1992, when I was tired of gaming.
Now  I  am  happy  to  be  in  a  Scene  that is not drenched with money or in
everlasting pursuit of more megahertz.  A Scene which still got the real Scene
feeling,  in  contradistinction  to  the  PC  scene  which  is  nothing  but a
playground  for  somewhat  talented people, eagerly waiting to get employed on
some games company making Doom clones.

c03Personally  I  don't  care about f2Viscorpf1 and thef4 Walkerf1 and all that stuff.  I
don't  pretend  that the f4Amigaf1 will make a serious come back on the commercial
market,  it most certainly won't.  I don't believe that it will raise from the
ashes  and,  somehow,  mysteriously,  beat  the  crap  out of Playstations and
Pentiums.  Some people have faith in the f4PowerAmiga f1- I don't.  This may sound
pessimistic,  but  it  doesn't  matter.  The Scene matters.  The Scene which I
will  stay active on as long as it's there.  And when it's all over one day, I
will  do  something  else.   Perhaps  I'll even consider joining the PC scene.
Hey,  if  someone could add a little feeling to the PC scene, it would be us -
the Amiga people.

c02You  end  your article by questioning how any PC user could be provoked by the
Amiga.   Well,  obviously  you  could.  If you still have more hatred whirling
around in the chaotic mind of yours - visit a therapist.

c04RokDaZone  was  so nice to hand me over your reply so I could reanswer without
you having to wait for another issue.

c03Odd  that  it  was  you, the bearer of an handle which precisely describes the
state  of  the Lamiga these days, to answer my thoughts.  Coma.  I am moreover
somewhat  flattered  that  you think that I am a fake.  No, I ain't.  I am for
real  and  if you have visited The Party VI you missed the opportunity to meet
me  there.  You aks for what reason I am in the Scene!?  Easy:  I am member of
a  PC-group  called Destroyers.  I am trader.  The reason why I care about the
Lamiga  at  all  is  that  I  want  to  tell  you  that  the  behaviour of the
Lamiga-Scene  is ridiculous and childish.  Things that you state I was.  Don't
you  find  it  childish to shout "PC Suxx!" as if this could keep Sceners from
leaving towards the PC?  Have you ever had a look around there?  It seems like
the  most  people  present  surely disagree as whereever I looked:  There were
PC's.
c02The  question is not if the Lamiga is doomed due Commodores mistakes or simply
as  it  is  outfashioned, rusty, slow and expensive.  I tend to believe in the
second  point, but as said before this isn't so important.  All I want is that
people  like you finally open their eyes.  To understand that they are sitting
on a sinking ship.  What do I say?  That they are clinging to the highest mast
of a boat which is already twelve foot under.

c03In  case  you were right (what a nonsense!) and Escom was already at its knees
when they bought the Lamiga as last nail to their coffin:  Why did they do it?
Just  to  speed up the dive into bancruptcy?  Even though Commodore was stupid
enough  to do so by releasing the f4CDTVf1, f4A500+f1,f4 A600f1 andf4 CD32f1 this doesn't mean
each company is!

c02We  cannot  have  this comparsion between anf4 Amigaf1 at 14mhz and an PC of equal
tact as there ain't any around left.  But thank you for underlining my opinion
that the Lamiga is utterly outfashioned.  Doom cannot be considered a game for
kids btw.  as it is made for adults.

c02Thank  you  for  advising  me  to visit a therapist, but in the end I'd rather
advise you for necromanthy - making love to someone who is dead this means.
