  9. OBJECTIVE
  10.  
  11. Marcus Flavius is a Roman scholar who has been sent by the Senate of Rome to discover the secret of the Oracle of Runes.  To accomplish this, Marcus must solve each of the perplexing puzzles that make up this ancient mythical enigma.  Marcus's task is to reach the doorway in each puzzle by strategically lifting and stacking the marble blocks that are strewn about each room.

  14. GAME PLAY

  16. The puzzles are selected by choosing a letter A-Z. 
  17. (Shareware version  A-J)   When the puzzle is loaded onto the game board Marcus Flavius will be standing somewhere within the puzzle.  You can move him around the game board by using your arrow keys.  Marcus can only jump up one block at a time, so he must stack the marble blocks in order to reach the Oracle's doorway.

  19. Some of the puzzles will have a special lever (see picture below) located somewhere on the game board.  If Marcus can reach this lever the Blue Floors within the puzzle will be removed.

  21. When Marcus reaches the Oracle's doorway, the puzzle will be considered solved.  On the Select Puzzle Menu all puzzles that have been solved will have a green circle next to them.

  26. Along the bottom of the game board there are buttons that can be activated using either the mouse or the appropriate letter key.

  52. The Shareware version of Runes contains puzzles A - J and gives you the solutions to the first 3 puzzles.  The registered version contains puzzles A - Z and gives you the solutions to all the puzzles.
