  1.       Welcome to VDS 2.0!
  2.       Before installing VDS on your hard drive, you should be aware of a few
  3.    cases that may conflict with the operation of VDS.
  4.       If your hard drive is prepared using Ontrack Disk Manager in a way that
  5.    it requires a device driver to access, then you should NOT install VDS.
  6.    We have not tested VDS in that environment, and therefore cannot guarantee
  7.    safe operation.  Simply press CTRL-C now to stop the installation.
  8.       If you use a disk compression program (such as Stacker), or a security
  9.    program that encrypts the contents of hard disks, then you should
  10.    NOT install VDS on your disk.  We cannot guarantee correct operation on
  11.    such drives.  Please do not confuse disk compression programs with file
  12.    compression programs such as PKZIP.  Disk compression programs supervise
  13.    all accesses to the hard disk.  VDS cannot tolerate such supervision and
  14.    bypasses all active monitors of this type.  Anything less would open up
  15.    a big loophole in operational reliability.
  16.       If you are using any such program, please abort installation of VDS by
  17.    pressing CTRL-C now.
  18.       VDSFSCAN.EXE is the only program in VDS 2.0 package that works on all
  19.    DOS compatible drives, even if they require a device driver or if they
  20.    are local area network server drives.
