  1.                  STEPS to INSTALL VDS 2.0 TRIAL VERSION

  3. * Read the INSTALLATION section of the user manual first
  4. * Get your DOS system diskette, emergency diskette, and VDS diskette ready
  5. * Turn the computer OFF, do NOT warmboot using CTRL-ALT-DEL combination
  6. * Put a DOS system diskette in drive A:
  7. * Turn the computer ON
  8. * After the computer boots up, press ENTER twice to get to the A> prompt
  9. * Replace the DOS diskette in drive A: with the VDS distribution diskette
  10. * Type  A:INSTALL  and press the ENTER key
  11. * Follow the messages on the screen as installation proceeds
  12.  
  13. *** If you do not start the computer as outlined above, VDS will abort
  14.     installation.  Please read the installation instructions first.
  15.     INSTALLATION section explains how to create an emergency diskette.
  16.     This is a very important step that needs to be completed before
  17.     installation.  If you did not follow these steps, press CTRL-C now
  18.     and try again.
