  13.   A 'trojan' is a program that pretends to do something useful while
  14.   actually causing damage, possibly deleting files, encrypting an
  15.   entire disk or damaging the system structure of a disk and so
  16.   destroying all the data that it contains.

  18.   There are hundreds of trojans and a partial listing can be found in
  19.   'The Dirty Dozen' which was started with a dozen in 1985 and quickly
  20.   passed the 200 mark.

  22.   Unlike a virus, a trojan depends on the preparedness of a user to
  23.   try out an unknown program which promises some particular benefit.

  25.   The best protection against trojans is only to use software from a
  26.   reputable source.

  28.   It is not the intention to catalogue trojans but where trojans have
  29.   been mistaken as viruses or where they have caused sufficient
  30.   distress to be included in one of the scanning programs listed, then
