  18.    I've just received a copy of a virus called "Armageddon the GREEK".
  19.    Have anyone ever seen this virus? SCAN 62 did not identify this
  20.    virus so I consider this as a new virus.  I've checked it a bit and
  21.    from what I found out, at a certain time, the virus sends a special
  22.    command to your ports which a Hayes compatible modem can
  23.    understand!

  49.                        "Armageddon the GREEK" scan
  50.  
  51.    I received a copy of a program recently, which contained a virus
  52.    SCAN V62 could NOT identify!  After having worked on its code for
  53.    some time, I discovered the following:
  54.  
  55.    1) The virus becomes resident in memory
  56.    2) It infects .COM files ONLY
  57.    3) It sends the message "Armageddon the GREEK" to the 4 com ports
  58.    from time to time
  59.  
  60.    It is possible that this virus is a modified existing one in which
  61.    the author, by changing the message to "Armageddon the GREEK",
  62.    managed to get SCAN V62 inoperative.
  63.  
  64.    This program is a vaccine for "Armageddon the GREEK". It can also
  65.    scan and clean modified versions of this virus if the only thing
  66.    changed is the message.
  67.  
  68.    You can stop the vaccine from cleaning the infected files from the
  69.    virus by specifying "/n" in the command line.
