- SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT
-
- Sfware is copyright (c) 1990-92 by Small Planet Software and Norman Walsh.
- All rights reserved.
-
- Sfware is distributed as 'shareware.' This means that you are allowed to
- use it for a short evaluation period (not to exceed 30 days) before
- you buy it. If you keep Sfware longer than 30 days, you are required to
- purchase it.
-
- You are encouraged to copy and distribute Sfware to your friends and
- colleagues as well as bulletin board systems and other file archives with
- three restrictions:
-
- 1) You may not make any changes to the Sfware archives. Sfware is a
- collection of files and programs -- you may not remove files or add
- files to the collection. Bulletin board operators can add their own
- 'comments' to the archive file and may change archive formats, if
- desired, but MAY NOT change ANY file in the archive.
-
- 2) You may not profit directly from the exchange. You can charge for the
- diskette, if you re-distribute it on diskette, or for the privilege of
- connecting to your BBS, if you are so inclined, but you MAY NOT charge
- for Sfware specifically.
-
- 3) You may not distribute registered versions of Sfware. When you
- purchase Sfware, you will be told how to 'register' your version. You
- MAY NOT redistribute the registered version of any Sfware file.
-
- After you have purchased Sfware, you will be told how to 'register' it.
- The registration process removes the "reminders" that you have not yet
- purchased Sfware and allows the utilities to run without requiring you to
- 'press a key' every time each utility ends.
-
- Registered, personal copies of Sfware may be used anywhere on any machine
- by the registered user. You may not install personal, registered copies of
- Sfware on anyone else's computer or any file-server to which others have
- access. Please contact Small Planet Software for site-licensing
- information or to register Sfware for use in commercial settings.
-
- Sfware is not crippled in any way. You are free to try every feature,
- every bell, and every whistle. Small Planet Software and Norman Walsh
- extend their trust to you, if you keep Sfware, please pay for it.
