  24.     How To Install Your Mouse For The GEM Environment

  26.    When installing GEM, if there is no selection for the Logitech
  27.    Mouse, choose the selection for "MOUSE.COM".

  29.    How To Install Your Mouse For AutoCAD 10 And Above
  30.    --------------------------------------------------
  31.    When installing AutoCAD, choose the Microsoft serial or Bus mouse
  32.    selection.  This selection will use the mouse driver in memory.

  34.    How To Install Your Mouse For DOS 4.0 Shell Program
  35.    ---------------------------------------------------
  36.    IBM DOS 4.0x installation places a new AUTOEXEC.BAT file in the
  37.    root directory and a DOSSHELL.BAT file in the DOS files directory.
  38.    In order to use a Logitech Mouse (any type) with the mouse driver
  39.    in memory, you must modify both the AUTOEXEC.BAT and DOSSHELL.BAT
  40.    files.

  42.    1) With a text editor, open the DOSSHELL.BAT file and find this
  43.       statement:
  44.  
  45.         "@SHELLC /MOS:[driver].MOS/TRAN/COLOR/ etc...."
  46.         (where [driver] can be PCIBMDRV, PCMSDRV, or PCMSPDRV)
  47.  
  48.    2) Delete "/MOS:[driver].MOS" from the "@SHELLC" statement.  Leave
  49.    the rest of the statement.  The modified statement should now
  50.    look like this:

  52.         "@SHELLC /TRAN/COLOR/ etc...."
  53.  
  54.    3) Modify your AUTOEXEC.BAT file:
  55.       Include the C:\MOUSE sub-directory in the PATH statement. Load
  56.       MOUSE, and if needed, LOGIMENU and CLICK before you execute
  57.       DOSSHELL.

  59.    This lets you use your Logitech Mouse both inside and outside the
  60.    Shell for DOS 4.0x.

  62.    How To Install Your Mouse For DOS 5.0 Shell Program.
  63.    ----------------------------------------------------
  64.    The DOS mouse driver should be launched prior to the DOS 5.0 DOS
  65.    Shell and not launched within a DOS box.  Also Windows 3.x should
  66.    not be launched from a DOS 5.0 DOS Shell DOS box.  This may result
  67.    in loss of mouse functionality under Windows 3.x.

  69.    Olivetti Monochrome Adapters.

  71.    Support for special video modes has been removed from the DOS mouse
  72.    driver. Programs that use these modes will need to be reconfigured
  73.    to work with a standard adapter. Your program documentation should
  74.    contain the information you'll need.

  76.    Loading High Command.

  78.    In case you have problems trying to load high the mouse driver, you
  79.    can load the driver without the overlay with the following command:

  81.    For DOS 5.x:      LOADHIGH MOUSE NOVCI

  85.    ClickEd - The control panel hot key mask cannot be changed while
  86.    running in a multitasking environment.
