- QFDELDIR is a support program for QFILER, version 3.1M or newer.
- QFDELDIR may also be used as a stand-alone program. If you start
- QFDELDIR with no command-line parameters, you will see the
- following information:
-
-
- -----------------------------------------------------------------
-
- QFDELDIR - "Delete Directory" utility for QFILER
- Copyright 1991 by Jamestown Software
-
- QFDELDIR will delete a directory, including all files and
- subdirectories. All files means ALL files, including read-only,
- hidden and system! NOTE: the root directory may not be deleted.
-
- Syntax: QFDELDIR <full directory path>
-
- Example: QFDELDIR C:\JUNK
-
- -----------------------------------------------------------------
-
-
-
- If you identify a directory to be deleted when you start
- QFDELDIR, you will be shown the number of files, subdirectories
- and bytes contained within the identified directory. If there are
- read-only, hidden and system files (or subdirectories), their
- numbers will be reported as well.
-
- After the above information is displayed, you must confirm you
- REALLY want to delete the directory by entering "YES" to the
- prompt. If you respond with anything other than "YES" (that's
- the three characters Y,E,S), the directory will be left
- unchanged.
-
- Although QFDELDIR may be run as a stand-alone utility, it is
- primarily intended to be an integrated part of QFILER, version
- 3.1M or newer. Because QFILER is designed for all users, novice
- to advanced, QFDELDIR has more user interaction than other
- "delete directory" utilities. After all, deleting an entire
- directory (subdirectories included), is a serious decision.
