  2.     This version (5.6) of PmCat+ fixes a number of nasty bugs that crept
  3.     in during the "improvements" which have been made recently to PmCat.
  4.     PLEASE replace any copies on BBS's and elsewhere you know PmCat is
  5.     being distributed, with this latest version.

  8.     The file PMCAT56 is a distribution archive of PmCat PLUS. DO NOT MIX
  9.     these files with any other PMCAT archive.  The filenames have been
  10.     altered because certain features are disabled in the distribution
  11.     copy (not crippled in any way, though). The features that remain
  12.     active at all times do not interfere in any way with the proper
  13.     functioning of PmCat PLUS.

  15.     PMCPL56.EXE (or PMCP56DS.EXE) is the core program of PmCat+.  You
  16.     may rename this file to anything you wish as long as you keep the
  17.     '.EXE' extension.
  18.  
  19.     PMCPL56.OVR (or PMCP56DS.OVR) is essential to the operation of PMCAT
  20.     and MUST be either in your path or in the same directory from which
  21.     PMCAT+ was run.  The name of this file MUST NOT BE CHANGED, or
  22.     PmCat+ will not run.

  24.     PMCAT.DOC is the complete documentation for PmCat+.  You should be
  25.     able to PRINT it from the DOS command line or from any utility you
  26.     use to do this sort of operation.

  28.     PMLIST.COM - The program I've included for purposes of viewing files
  29.     is actually called R.COM and was provided to me at my request for a
  30.     public domain text viewer.  I renamed it to PMLIST.COM solely so you
  31.     wouldn't see this file (r.com) hanging around with no docs and
  32.     delete it inadvertently and then begin to wonder why PMCAT+ no
  33.     longer functioned! I would encourage obtaining a registered copy of
  34.     either ML (Gil Yoder) or LIST (Vern Buerg).  Registration of ML brings
  35.     a copy of MLX, an enhanced version of ML which may be used to write
  36.     hypertext documents and viewed with MLX ... really nice!

  38.     PM-ORDER.FRM is the invoice style order form for PmCat+.  If you
  39.     would like a copy of it, please send two copies when you register
  40.     and I will mark one of them PAID and return it to you with the
  41.     disk(s) you recieve.

  43.     PLEASE NOTE:

  45.         Registered users  receive a slightly different version (one
  46.     in which the HELP line may be toggled, the Title Screen may be
  47.     toggled and the closing screen message will be absent).

  49.         They will also receive a utility (PmConvert) which allows
  50.      conversion of older PmCat data files to the newer format.

  66.     special area of the Coalgate BBS from which they may obtain a
  67.     registered copy of the very latest version of PmCat PLUS at any
  68.     time.

  71.     download files on their first visit.  The design of the BBS software
  72.     prohibits public messages till after validation (which *can* be done
  73.     on your first call if I happen to be in the neighborhood).

  75.         Additionally, the Coalgate BBS will serve as a similar home base
  76.     for MOP, ALLBUT, BOOTLOOK and Gil Yoder's programs, SCRIPTURE,
  77.     WINDIR, ML, MLX and others which are in the works.
