  5. COMMAND TYPE: External                  VERSION: 3.0 and up

  7. USE: LABEL [d:][volume label]
  8.  
  9. d:  specifies the drive which contains the diskette to be labeled.
  10. volume label specifies the label to be written on the disk.  A volume
  11.     label can be up to 11 characters long.  If you do not specify a volume
  12.     label when using the LABEL command you will be prompted for one.

  14. The volume label is reported by the <DIR> and <VOL> commands to show you
  15. which diskette you are using.  The label may contain spaces, but not
  16. tabs or any of the following characters "*?/.,;:+=><[]()&^"
