- The PostCard system allows you to create, edit and delete
- PostCards that are merged with the Address sub system.

- The PostCards are printed out on standard 4X6 cards.

- The Address system allows you to enter, update, and delete
- Address information which is later merged with the
- PostCard information to produce print outs.

- The PostCard consists of:

- The Title: Used by the program to identify this PostCard.

- The Saluation: Paired with the Name from the Address file
- to produce the opening line. ie Dear, Hello, etc.

- The Sign Off: Paired with your name for the closing line
- of the PostCard. ie Sincerely, Regards, etc.

- The Text: Up to 16 lines.

- ─────┤ ADDRESS ENTRY ├─────
- The Address consists of:

- The Name: The formal name of the person or company.

- Salutation: The more informal name, ie Bob, paired with
- the Salutaion from the PostCard to produce the opening
- line of the PostCard.

- Key: This is a method to allow you to define specific
- entries "F" could be Friend, "B" could be business
- contact.

- Address: Three lines and then ZipCode.
-
- Phone: Self explanitory.
-
- Remarks: A way for you to make notations about the entry.

- The block in the lower left corner
- will let you know the number of
- addresses selected.

- The From... & Address Labels: Are
- printed for 3"X15/16" pinfed labels.
- The program will let you test printer
- alignment before printing. You can
- print from 1 to 99 automatically.

- The PostCard & Address Listings: Will
- print out on regular paper to fit in
- a notebook etc.

- 3X5 and Rolodex Cards: Will provide
- you with cards in those formats.
-
- PostCards: Lets you choose which card
- to match with the address data you
- have requested. After printing the
- cards you have the choice of turning
- the cards around and having the
- computer address them or exiting.

- The PostCards are printed to the
- standard 4X6 size.
-
- 2 Way Cards: This option is for times
- when you want to elicit a response
- from the person you are sending a
- card to. You select the card to them
- first,then the card you want returned
- to you. Once printed the cards are
- torn off in twos and then folded in
- half and either stapled or taped. The
- first card is addressed to them, the
- second to you. It is difficult to
- explain, just try it.

- Kustom List: Lets you pick out the
- contents for a print out.

- Find! lets you locate data files that meet specific
- requirements.

- Select the option desired and then enter the match you
- wish to search for, ie Key = F.

- Upper and lower case are seen as the same and Close 'Nuf
- works for these Find!s.

- Criteria lets you locate data entries that meet specific
- requirements for print outs.

- Name/Zip Code/Key/Telephone Order: Puts the data file in
- one of those orders.

- Build For Speed: Allows the program to requence file in
- the best order for speed.

- Ghost Buster: Rids the file of blank records.

- Default SetUp: Lets you change the Colours or Date
- Format.

- Printer SetUp: Lets you set the printer codes for the
- program to match your equipment.

- Return Address: Allows you to enter your address
- information for use on PostCards and to print labels.

- Quik Info SetUp: Allows you to enter the information you
- want displayed when requesting Quik Info.

- Shell To DOS: This lets you exit to DOS temporarily, type
- Exit to return to PostCardMaster.

- Data Drive:
- The drive where you will keep your data disk. ex A,B,C,D
- etc. If you enter a 'Z' the program will create a new data
- file for the person using the system.

- A=American MM/DD/YY {Default} B=British DD/MM/YY
- F=French DD/MM/YY G=German DD.MM.YY
- I=Italian DD-MM-YY

- Right Justify: For the text of PostCards during WordWrap.

- ─────┤ PRINTER SETUP ├─────
- This allows you to customize the printer codes used by the
- program. These codes can be found in your printer manual.
- The codes that the program has when originally distributed
- are for the Epson FX100.

- You will need to know the code for 10 cpi (Pica), 12 CPI
- (Elite), Enlarged, Condensed (17CPI) and Double High/Wide.
- If your printer cannot handle double high/wide DON'T
- PANIC, just leave it blank; the program will use Enlarged
- for that entry.

- You do not have to enter the ESC part of the code, the
- program will add that automatically. You can enter the
- letter ESC code or the number it does not matter: ie ESC
- code 119 can be entered as "119" or "w". (Do not enter
- any " "s!)

- form: Go to the DOS prompt, turn on your printer, then
- type in the following line and press the Enter key:
