  30.           Kendra Electronic Wonderworks now offers the opportunity for you

  35.                As a reasonable guess, around 1200 hours of work have gone

  37.                into it here the Wonderworks.  This is a non-trivial amount.

  46.                away, UUPC/extended threatens to become its own perpetual

  48.                motion machine: we maintain UUPC/extended to stay in touch

  50.                with the outside world, and the outside world sends us mail

  52.                about maintaining UUPC/extended.

  55.                It is an accepted fact that the original UUPC was not
  56.  
  57.                written by Kendra Electronic Wonderworks, and that others
  58.  
  59.                have written numerous additional features include UUCP, UUX,
  60.  
  61.                and pending features include support for the "f" protocol
  62.  
  63.                and news.  What is not as clear is the work done here which
  64.  
  65.                goes into integrating, and polishing these features; because
  66.  
  67.                of work done here, people can take the work done all over
  68.  
  69.                world and use it by unpacking a few files.

  72.                Ryder rents trucks, Avis tries harder, MIT hacks the
  73.  
  74.                Yale/Harvard game, and Kendra Electronic Wonderworks hunts
  75.  
  76.                bugs.  Lots of bugs; bugs from the dawn of UUPC, bugs from

  78.                other people's code, and even bugs we introduced  (Ooops).

  80.                A second system is maintained here for the sole purpose of

  82.                providing downloading services to others via Kermit and

  84.                anonymous and for hunting bugs.  Only RAID kills more bugs.

  86.                We also integrate bug fixes from other people, so those few

  88.                files we give to others to unpack not only have more
  89.  
  90.                features but also bug fixes.

  93.                Bug hunting can be a bitch, and writing documentation is
