  21.       IdleBoot is a security tool designed to assist  network  managers
  22. by removing inactive workstations from the net.  IdleBoot is a TSR that
  23. identifies when a workstation is idle, then after a configurable  delay
  24. will force a  Logoff and  reboot of the inactive  system.   IdleBoot is
  25. configurable  with  many  options to  allow  the  lan  administrator to
  26. redefine what Idleboot looks for to determine idleness.

  28.       By  using  IdleBoot a  great  many  Network  based  problems  are
  29. eliminated.  The first is the obvious security hole created when a user
  30. leaves his  workstation logged in  while  away at lunch,  for  example.
  31. Another delima solved involves a variety of problems caused when a user
  32. leaves his workstation with files open.  This prevents other users from
  33. having access,  and creates  administration  problems at the end of day
  34. when network backups are needed.

  36.       Developed in  assembly  language  IdleBoot  was designed to be as
  37. small as possible.  Requiring less than 2k of system ram, IdleBoot will
  38. not tie up  needed  memory.  IdleBoot  supports  many  options  such as
  39. audible  alarms,  warning boxes,  reboot at a specific  time,  and many
  40. other functions  designed to provide a very flexible operating environ-
  41. ment.

  43.       The Technical Reference Manual included with IdleBoot covers many
  44. features not documented in the evaluation  copy,  Including Debug Mode,
  45. errorlevel  feedback,  configuring IdleBoot from third party  software,
  46. etc.

  49. available in a single user non-network version for only  $29.95 + $2.00
