  10.      This is Version 4.0 of Baseball Statpak (formerly known as
  11.      Baseball Statkeeper). It brings Big-League Statistical Power to
  12.      coaches and managers of every baseball or softball league.
  13.  
  14.      To scroll through this file, use the Cursor Keys, PgUp, PgDown,
  15.      Home and End keys. To print the file, type the letter "T." To
  16.      return to DOS, hit ESC.
  17.  
  18.      Statpak 4.0 records, updates, stores, sorts and prints baseball
  19.      statistics for up to 250 players on 12 teams. It tracks each
  20.      player's At Bats, Hits, Runs Scored, RBI's, Batting Average,
  21.      Slugging Pct., On-Base Pct., Doubles, Triples, Home Runs, Total
  22.      Bases, Walks, Stolen Bases, Strikeouts and Errors.

  25.      which this file was extracted. Files marked with asterisks must
  26.      be on the disk or hard drive directory from which the program is
  27.      launched.

  35.      We STRONGLY suggest you print and read the manual first. Its in a
  36.      file called STAT40.DOC. It's already formatted and includes a
  37.      nice example of typewriter graphics on the cover. To print the
  38.      manual, type PRINTME and hit ENTER.
  39.  
  40.      To run the program, type BASEBALL and hit the ENTER key. Please
  41.      DO NOT TRY TO RUN STAT40.EXE BY ITSELF. It won't work properly.
  42.      The program will run on any true IBM-compatible with 384K of
  43.      memory. All video cards are okay, and you can run the whole
  44.      shebang from a 360K floppy.
  45.  
  46.      The program will initially run in monochrome mode. To switch to
  47.      color, choose No. 7 from the Main Menu and set your monitor type
  48.      to color. The program will remember this setting.
  49.  
  50.      In Version 4, we've added some stats and deleted others, largely
  51.      as a result of feedback from our users. We've also added
  52.      scrolling statistical displays, point-and-shoot updating, color,
  53.      the ability to delete inactive players, a coaching roster, and
  54.      other features you've asked for.

  57.      Files created with earlier versions of Baseball Statkeeper are
  58.      NOT compatible with this one. There wasn't any way we could do
  59.      that because we've expanded the record structure and changed the
  60.      stats we record.

  62.      This is a SHAREWARE program. If you like it and use it, please
  63.      register it. The registration fee is $30. When you Register,
  64.      you'll get an ENHANCED version with even more features, including
  65.      player ratings, drafting pools and a full name and address
  66.      database for your league, complete with mailing list management.

  68.      To install the program on a hard disk, type HINSTALL Drive: and
  69.      hit enter. For example, to install on Drive C:, type HINSTALL C:
  70.      and hit ENTER.

  72.      To install the program on a floppy disk, type FINSTALL Drive: and
  73.      hit enter. For example, to install on Drive B:, type HINSTALL B:
  74.      and hit ENTER.
