- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- Hello, and welcome to Robocomm 4.1!
-
- ┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
- │ NEW USER? Robocomm 4.1 comes to you in two archive files, │
- │ ROBO41-A.ZIP and ROBO41-B.ZIP. You will need both │
- │ of these files to properly install the software. │
- │ Unzip both files into a \ROBO subdirectory and then │
- │ consult ROBOCOMM.DOC for configuration instructions. │
- │ The file ROBOCOMM.HST details the changes in the 4.1 │
- │ maintenance release that are not included in the │
- │ other documentation files. │
- ├────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤
- │ UPGRADING There is a special file for upgrading from version │
- │ FROM 4.0, called ROBO41-U.ZIP. If you have access to │
- │ VERSION 4.0? that file, you should use it to upgrade your initial │
- │ installation. See the readme.1st file in that ZIP │
- │ for further instructions. If you do not have access │
- │ to that file, then you may unzip both the A and B │
- │ zip files into your Robocomm directory, overwriting │
- │ files when prompted. Before running Robocomm 4.1 │
- │ for the first time, you should erase "HELP.NTX" and │
- │ "I_*.DBF". See ROBOCOMM.HST for changes in v. 4.1. │
- ├────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤
- │ UPGRADING Unzip ROBO41-A.ZIP and ROBO41-B.ZIP into your │
- │ FROM existing Robocomm directory, overwriting files when │
- │ VERSION 3.x? prompted to do so. Then, run ROBOCOMM.EXE and your │
- │ data files will be converted to the new format │
- │ automatically. See ROBO40.HST for changes in the │
- │ 4.0 version, and ROBOCOMM.HST for changes in the 4.1 │
- │ version. │
- ├────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤
- │ UPGRADING Sorry -- But, no automatic upgrade procedure is │
- │ FROM available. You should install the 4.1 version into │
- │ VERSION 2.x a new subdirectory, re-enter your BBS data, and then │
- │ OR EARLIER? start fresh with the 4.1 version. │
