- BiModem
- -------
- 1. Bimodems timing with combination regular file send and verify send has
- been improved.
-
- 2. The false NAK errors that were occurring on 2400 baud MNP modems has
- been fixed.
-
- 3. /A argument added to override the Abort Directory Path
-
- 4. /I argument added to point to a new format intercomm log file. The
- following new fields were added to the new intercomm record layout:
- 232-239 8 byte encrypted registered phone #
- 240-241 Integer # of errors
- 242-243 Integer File Date
- 244-245 Integer File Time
- 246-249 Integer File Size
- 250-256 Reserved for future use.
-
- 5. /J argument added to override the rejection list path.
-
- 6. /N argument added to override the sending directory path.
-
- 7. /R argument added to override the receiving directory path.
-
- 8. 1.22 had a problem because the receiver timed out when sending an
- upload file header. This caused 2 good headers to be sent. The second
- header would get rejected because a 0 length file had been created
- from the first header. BiModem now tests upload headers to make sure
- they are not duplicate headers sent due to timeouts. If it's a duplicate
- it is ignored.
-
- 8. The timeout on the upload header was lengthened. Some systems were
- found to have enormous lists of directories to scan for rejections, and
- it took these systems a long time to determine if a file was a duplicate
- or not. To facilitate these systems we lengthened the timeout value to 30
- seconds instead of 10. It's still shorter than it was in 1.20 (it was 40
- seconds there). The system I tested this on had hundreds of rejection
- directories on a Novel network, and 30 seconds was ample time for it to
- check for duplicates.
-
- 9. The phone #, estimated time, and estimated CPS is now displayed correctly
- when toggling between quiet mode and non-quiet mode (Alt/Q).
-
- 10. BiModem will now flag transfer status' as bad (aborted) for files that
- terminate due to timeout or bad disk reads or writes.
-
- 11. Once again we had to increase security because of a known hacker program.
- Anyone knowing the author of BiFix.Exe and wishing to testify against
- him should contact Erik Labs. This constant hacker deterring is costing
- both Erik Labs and you the user of BiModem.

- Support Pograms
- ---------------
-
- 1. Binstall now retains the correct dates on the programs/files it installs.
-
- 2. BiMenu also supports the /A,/I,/J,/N,/R arguments and passes them on to
- BiModem.
