- Version 3.0 /* Major Revision */
-
- 1. Added the ability to process Qwksets! QWKSCAN can now be run in a
- batch processing mode in a batch file without user input just prior
- to reading the mail packet.
-
- Command line: qwkscan /q=<filename>
- or qwkscan /q /b
-
- 2. Added the capability to create new conferences in the mail
- packet as the output from Qwkscan. The mail reader can then
- read that conference just like a regular conference from the
- BBS.
-
- 3. It is now possible to specify the location of the work
- directory using the /b command line switch. This makes it
- possible to use Qwkscan directly with Deluxe2 without
- resorting to a batch file to change into the Q-WORK
- subdirectory.
-
- Syntax: QWKSCAN /b=path
-
- It is important that the equals sign immediately follow the
- /b with no spaces before or after the equals sign.
-
- 4. Added the capability to 'K'ill replies from within Qwkscan.
-
- 5. Added the capability to Shell to Dos by selecting the appropriate
- option under the Toggles menu, or by hitting the <Alt-Z> hotkey.
-
- 6. The SWAP option functions for the dos shell and the archiving/
- dearchiving options. When this option is turned on QWKSCAN will
- unload all but about 2k of itself prior to shelling out to an
- external command.
-
- 7. QWKSCAN can now handle mail packets with >256 conferences.
-
- 8. Added the capability to search by conference
-
- 9. Added a Toggles option to select case sensitive or insensitive
- searches.
-
- 10. Ascii output now uses a less offensive character to divide the
- messages.
-
- 11. When viewing .REP files, the name of the reply file is displayed
- on on the message viewing window to assist the user in remembering
- which BBS the replies are associated with.
-
- 12. Fixed QCUSTOM.EXE so that it correctly uses the colors in
- the QWKSCAN.CFG file.
-
- 13. The FROM field is now replaced anytime a [F]ilter operation
- is performed.
-
- 14. Fixed the bug with Qmail packets that was causing searches on
- the [E]ntire message to not find all matches. Thanks a
- million to Joe Martella for his help on this one!
-
- 15. Fixed the bug with searching the [M]essage body that was
- yielding "false" matches.
-
- Version 2.1
-
- 1. Corrected the bug associated with mail packets from the Qmail
- 3.0 door.
-
- 2. Updated the opening screen display routine
-
- 3. Corrected the bug that prevented viewing replies when the
- input .REP filename doesn't match the .MSG filename. It is
- now possible to look at replies inside .REP packets like
- 1MINX.REP, F071290.REP, etc.
-
- 4. Added the BBS name at the bottom of the message-viewing
- window.
-
- Version 2.0 /* Lots of new stuff! */
-
- 1. Multiple search criteria using AND/OR/NOT logic. Can now
- search for all messages containing "Jim" AND "Bob".
-
- 2. Ability to search and filter messages from Nitwits! Helps
- maintain your blood pressure...changes are actually written
- to the mail packet, making them permanent.
-
- 3. Ability to specify which field to search (To/From/Subject/Msg
- /Entire Message).
-
- 4. Added the printer as an output option.
-
- 5. Separate customization routine, QCUSTOM, providing
- customizations for Colors, Screen Sizes, Input/Output Directories,
- Archiver and Unarchiver names, Alarm sound, and Preset Search
- Strings.
-
- 6. Significant enhancements to the search routines. Scan speeds
- are roughly *twice* as fast as before.
-
- 7. Support for >500 messages. Now limited only by available memory.
-
- 8. Filename matching is now set for "*.qw?" to allow Telix users
- to find files with names like "MINX.QW0" without renaming
- them.
-
- 9. The pagedown function (also the spacebar and the enter key)
- now function correctly on multi-page messages. In previous
- versions a pagedown near the end of a long message left you
- with a full screen of data which didn't necessarily begin
- where you left off reading the previous screen.
-
- 10. Fixed a bug reported by Steven Guralnick, Michael Robertson,
- and others where certain messages would not be viewed but
- simply "skipped!" Many thanks to Michael for uploading a
- sample mail packet to allow me to track down the trouble!
-
- 11. Added the ability to select other directories from the
- filename input windows.
-
- 12. Alarm sound at completion of search. (There you go,
- BillyBob!)
-
- 13. Fixed a bug in the ASCII output options which left the files
- unreadable on some systems. (Thanks, Carol W.!)
-
- 14. Can now accept credit card registrations! For even more
- convenience, registrations can be performed on-line at the
- DATAWARP BBS (1-918-455-5544).
-
- Version 1.3
-
- 1. First official release.
-
- 2. Added the command-line switches "/m" for monochrome monitors
- and "/b" to make it easy to integrate with EZ-Reader and
- QDeluxe.
-
- 3. Added help screen to message viewing window.
-
- Version 1.2 Beta
-
- 1. Added the capability to use the +, -, Enter, and 'G' keys from the
- message viewing window, similar to EZ-Reader. "Message Read
- Direction" is always forward, however.
-
- 2. Redirected the unarchiver output to NUL. Errors from PKUNZIP
- or PKXARC are handled via the unarchiver return codes.
-
- 3. Added the capability to place work directories in a ram drive.
-
- Version 1.1 Beta
-
- 1. Added the capability to use the space bar from the message viewing
- window. Now striking the space bar will cause the next marked
- message to come up in the viewing window. If there are no more
- marked messages, it drops back to the message selection window.
-
- 2. Added 43 and 50-line support.
-
- The default is 25 lines.
-
- 3. Corrected some sneaky bugs.
-
- Version 1.0 Beta
-
- 1. Initial release to beta-sites.
